Climate Change Rallies
Authorities in some countries have started to criticize children for attending climate protest rallies on school days. Arguing that skipping school is wasting teachers' time and that weekends and school holidays offer sufficient opportunity for attending these rallies.
I DISAGREE. Political activism should not be something that we only get around to when our diary frees up or it is convenient for others.
I fully support and congratulate all of the students who have attended a climate change rally. You are not wasting anyone's time. You are using your time purposefully. You are starting to be noticed - that's why the authorities would like to shut you down. Keep being heard.
I am proud of you.
Rochester has had a pretty strong response to Trump's Paris Climate Accord announcement—especially for something organized in under 24 hours 😮

Vancouver Climate Rally 10/25 [3/8]: Pre-March Speakers
Aside from Mr. Suzuki in picture 4, I’m afraid I don’t remember the names of any of the speakers, so if you recognize them feel free to say so in a reblog or reply.
