✘; One Behemoth of a Problem || {cliquecliqueboom}
Dropping to bruised knees, the thief dug her last dagger into the dirtied earth, muscles trembling with the effort of keeping herself standing. Through her haze, she could just barely spot her abandoned left dagger, all too close to the vicinity of the hulking fiend's talons as it stomped about in a fit of pure rage. Coughing violently, Rikku winced when the taste of metal stained her tongue-- yeah, things were definitely not looking good for either of them right about now.
Without a doubt, behemoths were not on her favorite list of fiends, but this one was on a whole different level. To be certain, the thief definitely had never seen one of them rear back on their hind legs before, and this one was doing just that, howling so loudly that she was having trouble distinguishing between the ringing in her ears and the blood rushing from her head.
"Ugh--" She hissed, leaning all of her weight into the blood-soaked weapon so she could force herself from the ground once more-- vision fogging the tiniest bit before stabilizing as she eyed the monstrosity's movements. "Gimme a break..."
If only she had her sphere grid-- swirling verdigris roamed the ground, exhaling in disappointment when she located it-- right by her other dagger. The stupid oaf had knocked her aside earlier, effectively rendering her gridless and half a weapon less.
Yeah, they were in deep pickles.
