i haven’t thought about this fic in a minute but it got me thinking and here’s the thing:
of course they end up together. it took reader until the middle of summer to realize that billy was actively trying to ask her out. billy had gotten to the point where he was close to giving up, but thanks to dustin eventually begging the reader to put billy out of his misery, things moved a lot faster.
funnily enough, it took billy five tries to propose to reader without getting interrupted. granted, he was interrupted the sixth time as well, but that was only because she managed to blurt out the question.
“i’ve been trying to figure out how to ask you for two months but do you wanna get married?”
