10. What’s the most vivid (or your favourite) childhood memory? Oh, so many to choose from. I have so many memories, I’m like an elephant! I remember more than my mom or my brother really. Umm… I’m going to have to say… It’s like define childhood, what ages. Umm… Ok. Here’s the answer: When I grew up in Connecticut, at the elementary school I went to they had THREE playgrounds, but… umm… At this one playground they had like a fully-built wooden train for kids to play on, and that was fun. It h ad a front, a caboose, and various cars. The playground also had this like tight-rope/trapeze/balance thing to walk across & it was a rope, sort of, so I could frequently be found hanging upside down from that. Then next to the playground were woods, or a forest, that it was fun to go exploring ii. According to my mom, as a kid, it seemed much bigger than it actually was. But my friends and I would play tag in there. For some reason, in the woods there was a teepee, like an Indian teepee. These woods were the dividing point between the elementary school (grades K-2) & middle school (grades 6-8). Fun fact #1: Grades 3-5 were at a different school actually further away from the others. It was at like the bottom of this long hill, while the other schools were at the top. Fun fact #2: The town I grew up in didn’t have a high school (until after I moved away). Needed to ride the bus to another town for that.
Another memory: When I was little I used to play soccer and there would be an ice cream truck at each game. Well I guess my dad made friends with the ice cream man cus one day he was driving to a game and he just stopped at our house & gave us ice cream. An ice cream man personally delivered to me! :)
Concluding from this, I can say that I really enjoyed playing on the playground, especially the swings and playing tag.
