Speaking of prompts, the day immediately following Stefan's funeral when they left the forest would be interesting. I'd love to read your spin on it. Coming back to the boarding house, Damon finally taking the time to properly appreciate that Elena is finally back, the immediate conversations they'd have, that sort of thing.

Good thought! I’ve written their reunion, but in completely different circumstances, but that’s a good thing to think about, too. That finale gives us a lifetime of missing scenes lol.

Unfortunately, not :| Kevin did say in no uncertain terms that Stelena would have been endgame had Nina committed to a full season. And in more than one post-finale interview (I saw 2) he went on record saying he was a Stelena fan. I was surprised to read it too since I distinctly remember him saying the same thing about Delena many years ago.

Yeah I checked it now and it soooo doesn’t make any sense. I doubt Julie would allow that to happen. If for some people the finale was rushed now just imagine making Stelena all over again after 4-5 seasons apart and “Promise me this is forever” from Elena to Damon... oh Kevin Kevin.

also how he can say that and in next interview says how he imagine Delena future. Julie turned out to be our person in writers room haha

I think it was implied that Kai had no clue that the ring was a daylight ring and was blabbering nonsense. And now *Damon* has a chance to present one to Elena, which was the point of its destruction.

Kai blabbers nonsense all the time, that's kinda his point. :P But, very true, it's very very likely that Elena's new ring will come from Damon.

Naty, I think if people want to freak out, there's no helping them.

But the ring isn't even a proper symbol of SE actually. Like, Elena doesn't remember it now, sure, but in 4x06 it was Damon who found her ring and gave it back to her, so in this show, first they turn anything that could be a SE thing into a DE thing and then they ruin it :D

Thank you for all the well wishes and fic recs! Lots of smut will keep me going ;) and yes I'm okay, breathing a little easier thanks to my new inhaler but still feeling chappy. Every breath is an effort and since I have chronic fatigue etc it's exhausting. But I just have to wait for the medicine to eventually do its work. And yip, dark themes are more than okay with me!
