Checking out the coffee shop
Who ever said dogs were a girls best friend? Well....Jade really liked dogs. But Coffee was a close second. Coffee was truly a narcoleptic best friend, especially when the tests she had coming up required late night studying. Thank god the coffee shop was open late.
The thing about Narcolepsy was she still slept the same amount of hours as a normal person. Maybe even a little less. She just didn't get that sleep in one chunk of time. Instead that sleep happened throughout the day in small chunks. This made studying a bit difficult though but hopefully the coffee would help her stay awake long enough to get a decent chunk of studying in.
She walked up to the counter, glad that the coffee shop seemed pretty empty. Of course it did, people didn't typically drink coffee this late in the day. She dug in her bag and pulled out a $20 dollar bill, figuring that they could just break it for her so she wouldn't have to waste study time by digging out smaller bills. "I'll take a cappuccino please! And...hmmm...do you guys serve cinnamon rolls? Because if so i'll take one of those to"
It wasn't until after she had glanced up from digging for her cash that she realized the face behind the counter was a very familiar one "Aradia!? No way! kinda funny that I decided to visit here at the same time you were working. So this is where you work huh?" She asked as she handed the money over and waited patiently for her drink to get made.
