my favorite thing about sv!Clois is that Clark not only feels like he can share his superhero life with her, he can share his mundane life with her as well and they are both content bc at the end of the day, they’re best friends in love. It doesn’t matter what the circumstance is, THAT will never change, they just want to be together. I love that they do normal things together, like vacations, karaoke, guitar hero game nights, roof top dinners, Clark wanting so bad to make valentine’s day work. It just proves how much they genuinely enjoy each other’s company and how he wants to fit BOTH sides of who he is into this relationship.

Upon rewatching s7, its very interesting that Lana believed that Clark was meant for more and tried to push him towards that. But it fails. It’s just not enough for him for the girl who he thinks is the love of his life to push him to that destiny. Some may say that it was because he wasn’t ready to accept his destiny but I beg to differ.

In Hex, it is important to note that while it was Chloe encouraging Clark to take that leap to get to the roof, all Clark was seeing was Lois. He had no clue who he was or what he was capable of. But in his mind, Lois was encouraging him to be great, that he is great and more than just the average Joe. He accepts this and looks to the roof he’s about to jump on. Then he looks back, as if to say thank you but then is greeted with the real Chloe staring right back at him. At this point, it is safe to presume that the spell on Clark has completely worn off.

Lois just inspires him. Martha sees that. Clark acknowledges that by saying “you got me to fly” and “you’ve always believed in me”. The key word is always. And she has. She always believed he would do great things which is why she jumped at the DP opening for him, even when he didn’t see it for himself.

I do not think that it was an intentional and conscious decision on Clark’s part to reject what Lana was pushing him towards. But it’s a testament of the undeniable trust he has in Lois and the trust she has in him. He believes in her so much that he’s able to believe in himself and take that leap of faith as long as Lois is there with him.

something that a lot of smallville fans fail to notice is how much Lois REALLY loves Clark. One of her most noted storylines is her fear of being alone and abandoned (similar to Clark). This fear stems from her father and the way he raised her due to her mothers death. Keep in mind that the second time Lois and Ollie dated again, she knew he was the GA. This was a huge step for her to take because of how he treated her in the past as well as her fears and insecurities. YET she still breaks up with him because she is unable to commit to his superhero lifestyle, afraid that he’s going to abandon her along the way to his destiny (this is the reason why Clark stays with Lana in s7 btw, because Lois isn’t handling Ollie’s vigilante lifestyle so well, why not settle and stay with Lana since she already knows and is somewhat used to it).

In Infamous, Lois says “I’ve been down the hero road before, and everytime I make a giant u-turn. But THIS was different.” It’s not different because her insecurities suddenly disappeared, it’s different because it’s CLARK. She loves him so much that she’s willing to force her fear of being alone aside to make sure it works with him and HIM ONLY. “You’re the one I want to get it right with”. She doesn’t do this with anyone else. Yes, she ran away after their first kiss but that fear goes back to the last scene in Infamous (when he bails on her) and she probably felt the kiss was a fluke (literally her ptsd from bride). AND yes she went to Egypt when she found out he was the blur but that’s because she doesn’t want to come between Clark saving humanity which stems to why she called off the wedding. All of this because of HOW much she loves him, she’s never loved someone as much as she loves Clark, not even a little bit. And I love that it parallels with how much Clark loves her. “Lois, I died when you left.” “I can’t live in a world where you don’t love me.” Lois wants to be needed and loved, Clark NEEDS to LOVE her and be loved in return to do what he does best. And that’s why no other ship on this show will ever come close to them.

I like Smallvilles approach to the glasses bc Clark is already a dork and a nerd (this is especially established in the earlier seasons, he’s a bookworm that loves football) but as he’s grown, he’s become this gorgeous, sexy man who is more accepting of himself than he was when he was a teenager so to tone it down he has to slouch and wear glasses. And it makes so much sense that he’s uncomfortable with that at first and doesn’t like the backlash that Lois might receive bc HELLO it took him SOOO long to get here, to love himself, his kryptonian side and his human side at the SAME TIME. And now he has to throw that away in a sense to blend in, of course he’s not gonna want to do that. AND he wants everyone to know that someone as sexy as Lois finds him, A DORK, attractive, adorable, and sexy. he doesn’t think it’s possible with his new disguise but little does he know IT TURNS HER ON!!! anyway HE IS THE BIGGEST DORK!! ALWAYS HAS BEEN ALWAYS WILL BE. AND LOIS LOVES HIM JUST THE WAY HE IS!

I especially love how he doesn’t wear the glasses at home because that never made sense to me, a lot of superman adaptations have him wearing it when there’s no need to and it’s weird to me idk.

I JUST REALIZED THAT IN 10x01 WHERE LEX SAYS THAT CLARK CAN SAVE THE DAILY PLANET STATUE FROM PLUMMETING OR SAVE THE WOMAN HE LOVES, LEX IS 100% TALKING ABOUT LOIS OBVIOUSLY BUT THE FACT THAT THE CLONE HAS LEX’S MEMORIES AND STILL SAYS LOIS AND NOT LANA IS EVERYTHING TO ME OMGLSKALAKKANSM
