So basically there’s also that idea of Clolarion (the one Purifier executor before Fenix) just being woken up after his mind’s been copied to the new robotic body. Shit doesn’t seem really fine at first but Clolarion was a Templar so his ultimate purpose has been serving his people no matter how. SO, he just thinks it’s gonna be ok soon, but then that 0.1% starts clinging in, creating something on the background of his consciousness that he can’t identify at first, but is genuinely terrified of. Problems start to pile up. As a conscious robot, he starts seeng dreams, but they’re more of a burden than a relief. Every night he finds himself at what he thinks is the city he lives in, but warped and completely dictorted, dark and old. And he’s looking for someone. Someone he doesn’t really know but has an unconscious feeling about what that person should be. And every morning he wakes up haggard because of that chase game. Clolarion is tired and depresed, he doesn’t want to know who that myserious person is, but still every night in his dreams he searches for them. One day it happens. Clolarion finds that person. But he’s not satisfied. He’s afraid of what he sees, because shockingly he meets himself back in the days when he was a living being. The most terrifying is that the person he meets - the “old” Clolarion - is anything but the “new” Clolarion. They bear the same name, but their personalities are completely different. Clolarion wakes up with the gut-twisting feelind of being unable to identify who he is. Clolarion, but...not. And that morning later becomes the starting point of what happened at Lantis base.
Basically you can substitute Clolarion with purifier Fenix, just with a happy ending on the Spear of Adun with Artanis comforting him
