he usually avoids any sort of side - job that involves being , well , shady. but he does sometimes take them when he knows it’s nothing bad --- sometimes the shadiest situations could be the ones to be most helpful to others , and lukas would rather help people than care about his reputation. though he’s aware of how he looks when he finds himself walking into some place already occupied he can’t really bother himself with too much care ; he’s learnt to suppress his fears of instantly being disliked sufficiently enough to not get in the way of his every day life. though , he still bothers enough to pull the mask off his face.
❝ 's not as bad as it looks , i promise. ‘m not doin’ anythin’ illegal. ❞ is all he says. he’s found he has a somewhat undesired knack for going places with people every now and then --- it’s just his own little bad sense of navigation. and he’s learnt that that’s what manages to calm most people down , seeing someone showing their face after being caught doing something seemingly illegal usually lowers suspicions in people. not that it always works ; but it’s what seems to be worth a shot the most. ❝ if it helps , it’s medicine for sick animals , from what my boss told me. ❞ he leaves out the part where it fell off the back of a truck , though. he can tell enough to not have this stranger call the cops on him , but he’s not going to tell her the whole story and make her more than an accidental witness. --- the less she knows the better.
