     delicate fingers brush back locks of hair , glinting in afternoon sunlight. a plate tucked beneath one arm , she tilts her head up.

     ‘ table three wants more jasmine & sugar. ’

     holds out a thin strip of paper , address she’s unfamiliar with scrawled across it. mouth twists ------ were it up to HER , she wouldn’t have to approach strangers like this , but when you’re lost , you’re lost.

                       a burst of golden light streamed through the shadows, forming a silver rifle that sat lax in soft hands. there had been some commotion that had drawn her here, the feeling that wormed in her stomach but also the loud crash that idle ears had over heard just a few steps away. sighing lightly, a wave of relief flushed pale features & a smile kissed the strawberry lips.

                                ‘      are you in need of assistance ?     ’

     lips curved up , nose crinkled just the littlest bit. a cautious blink. cool fingers froze around her whip , pale light spilling over the cross-shaped handle. a GAUDY costume --- not that hers or any she’d worn in shoots were much better. head cocked to one side. voice lower than usual ( there was the trailer that would go out in under a week , after all ) , scoffed & bit back ------

     ‘ i’m JUST FINE. ’

     PERSONALLY , she has things to do this afternoon & would not like to spend it sweeping spilled tea & china , but to each her own.

     whip slices through the air , eyes narrowed as they cut at darkness. there’s someone in her WAY ------ & the shadows are seeping away from view , her breathing ragged & loose. whirls around. are the ears twitching ??? do they DO that ????
