Time was a blur for them, they never knew much of the passage of years until the 1920’s when they were sent to collect from New Orleans. A little girl had been promised to her demon master and her father was trying like hell to negotiate it. In most cases Sharma would not have cared but for the first time they saw the realm they had entered. They heard the music that played. They saw the people who danced to it and spoke to one another. They fell in love with the mundane world and all the excitement that it entailed. Their mundane form had a similar appearance to that little girl, as if to replace her in the world when she ultimately perished. The only part of Mundane society they did not quite understand were gender roles. Though Sharma themself has more feminine qualities they identify as agender.
They often allow their mundane form to wander the realm of the mundane, they enjoy sitting back and watching cultures change and move foreword. They fell in love with the human world, even the non-human creatures it contained such as witches. They often avoided warlocks however, fearing that the creatures would force them back to their master and they would lose their free will. They adopted the name of Lassie, a joke they found hilarious, their own call back to what they truly were.
Their master still often calls upon them to carry out tasks. They can still be quite the ruthless killer, but they cling to their free will when they have it. They thrive in New Orleans where they have picked up on all the supernatural activity. The hell hound has become attached to the mundane world, the mundane cultures, and often when talking to them they will probably seem mundane outside of their eyes appearing differently. They are a personable person, now trying to get in personally with the Shadowhunters, trying to show to them that the supernatural and the mundane can live in harmony, which is hard when Lassie’s heart still belongs to their masters.
