“You’re a real nerf herder you know that?”
Biography:
As a child, Aster was nothing out of the ordinary. She would stay up late reading and coloring, beg to go see her friends, spend hours playing outside. She was quite close with her sister, as could be expected in a family like theirs and everything was more or less perfect until Aster entered middle school. Suddenly she was launched into a whole other world, having moved from private to public school. The other students would tease her and kick her, find out her fears then use them against her. Little kids are cruel but these children took their bullying to a whole new level. Aster became scared to leave the house or encounter people. After two years of the this torture, the family packed up and moved to another city. Unfortunately, the problems followed Aster.
She managed to escape the bullying with the fresh start, but Aster, after years of anxiety and fear in social situations, began having panic attacks. They were few and far between at first, over a presentation in class or a big test to study for. But as she grew older and entered high school, she began to panic at the smallest of triggers. Brushing up against people she didn’t know in the hallways, walking into an auditorium—even just the fear of having another attack could bring one on in a cruel irony. Sometimes for what would seem like no reason at all, a panic attack might arrive and bring her to the point of curling up in a ball and hyperventilating. This was why Aster parents withdrew her from school to complete the rest of her high school education from home.
Her first year of college, bigger setting, bigger world, everything seemed to get worse. The panic attacks were both more frequent and debilitating, and soon Aster found herself panicking over the thought of going to sleep, having established this abstract idea that if she went to sleep, she might never wake up. Eventually she developed a habit of staying awake as long as she could, filling herself with caffeine until sleep was an impossibility. When her sister came to visit her and found her curled up in a corner of her room, shaking like a leaf, she immediately called their parents, who then decided that it was time for Aster to receive serious help, and they sent her off to the Wayne Foundation Sanitarium.
Aster wasn’t there for very long before she checked herself out. She didn’t like the close quarters of her room or being forced to engage with other patients in a private setting because some of them were actually quite dangerous. So she did the only thing she could think of, she moved out on her own and used her college degree to begin her career as a journalist for an online newspaper. Which is how she wound up in Oregon. Almost a year before, back when they were still some shitty tabloid one of their other reporters had gone missing while investigating a town and nothing had ever come of their search for answers.

History
“Better bruised than dead.”
Biography:
Tyler’s always had a somewhat tumultuous life. Even given the “privileged” title that most people tended to slap him with when they found out where he was born and how he grew up. For the majority of his childhood, Tyler’s dad was the District Attorney for SPD and surrounding departments. But he, being a man solely driven by his need for power and control, continuously jockeyed for a shot at becoming mayor with further sights on securing the seat as governor.
Robert had no problem using what little influence he had at the time to lobby for more, often bribing people for their votes or proceeds. Tyler’s mom, for most of his childhood, was not only his dads secretary, but his third mistress. In fact, the fact that she got pregnant with Tyler and could scientifically prove (multiple times) that Tyler was Robert’s son was the only reason they even got married in the first place.
By the time he was twelve years old, his father had finally succeeded in becoming the mayor of Sacramento and had Jackie appointed as the assistant district attorney. Neither of his parents wanted kids, so needless to say neither of them were too happy about the pregnancy. Both Robert and Jackie took their frustrations with each other out on their son, one to more of an extreme than the other.
Robert always had some reason or another to be pissed, and when he was upset he drank. Hell, he drank on every day that ended with ‘y’, and to make matters worse, he was an angry (often violent) drunk. More often not Tyler took the bulk of his anger. Early on, Tyler learned not only how to cover up the varying shades of bruises, but how to lie his way around explaining them. He was a just a kindergartner after all, kids were clumsy at his age. The older Tyler got, the worse the beatings became. Instead of being an accidental monthly thing, they become bimonthly, then weekly and biweekly until unfortunately they become a daily occurrence. Jackie knew about the attacks, but for fear of becoming the next punching bag, she said nothing.
Naturally, being a dominate personality only made matters worse for Tyler. Especially as he intentionally set his father off with his behavior. Occasionally in an attempt to alert some attention to the mans actions and other times just because he felt like fighting back. The absolute worst occurrence was the night of Tyler’s 18th birthday. In the middle of his bash Tyler decided to address recent rumors that he was gay and would be coming out of the closet soon. He quickly denounced them by admitting that he was actually Bi and sealed the deal by making out with two random guests on stage. Of course, this caused an uproar, but never ones to waste money the Kings allowed the party to continue, but Tyler knew from the look in his father’s eyes that he was screwed.
The beating Tyler received that night was god-awful. By the end of it all, the boy had several broken ribs, a shattered collar bone and a collapsed lung. His father, however, managed to saunter away with a broken nose, one fractured rib and two dislocated fingers. After the attack was over Robert King, literally threw his son out into the street and that may have been the very thing that saved his life. Sarah Johnson, the daughter of their neighbor and a nurse, just happened to be visiting her father that night and managed to keep Tyler alive long enough for the paramedics to arrive. The police arrived shortly after an arrested Robert, taking Jackie in for questioning as well.
Several months of rehab and court proceedings later, Tyler was finally released from his parents grasp. His dad was sentenced to five years probation upon successful completion of the batterer’s program and anger management. Jackie was sentenced to six months house arrest, and Tyler was awarded a hefty sum by the courts along with receiving his trust fund early.
Tyler decided to put his new found wealth to good use and opened up NEX, and underground club with a few friends. The club did well for first two years. But it started to attract unwanted attention, which is how he found himself trapped and enslaved within Lucas Manor. Unfortunately, due to his past experience with his father Tyler knew exactly how to handle the vampires that lived there. He often went out of his way to save what few fast friends he made there.
The strongest and most detrimental friendship he made there was with Sabrina. The two of them together made a dangerously, co-dependent and self-sacrificial pair. One day Sabrina and a few other slaves devised a plan to escape from the Manor. Tyler knew that it most likely wouldn’t work, but couldn’t let Sabe go down alone so decided to run with her. As he predicted the plan failed miserably, they were all caught and punished. Tyler and Sabe were some of the lucky ones that made it out with a few nightmares and broken limbs. Five years later Sabrina was attacked out in the woods by a passing wolf. Seeing as how the castle was full of nothing but vampires and their slaves, they decided to attempt to escape again. This time it would appear that luck was one their side, because they survived.
They headed back to California, and after a year they managed to get their lives somewhat back to normal with the help of Tyler’s friends.
Tyler’s friends struggled to keep Nex open in his absence, but it continued to linger on until he returned. Once he did, it began to thrive again.

History
“There are no bargains between lions and men. I will kill you and eat you raw.”
Biography:
For she most part, Gi-Ju’s early life was fairly uneventful. He grew up during the Song Dynasty in what is now considered Imperial China. Born as Gi-Ju Yeon in a small village to his mother and father on May 2nd his family didn’t have much but they had it better than some. As a child he spent most of his days working along side his mother who ran the Inn where they lived. It wasn’t much, but it was something that his family could happily call their own.
Although the family was well liked by many they still faced their share of rivalry. Gi’s father was a tax collector and some of the people in their village felt that he was too eager to “steal their livelihood” when they failed to pay their debts. To make matters worse being so far away from the palace meant that they more often than not sought their entertainment from each other. Usually in the form of gossip. Gi-Ju being an only child was constant fodder for the rumor mill. Many people speculated that some curse had fallen upon the Yeon’s or that there had been some infidelity or other garishness. When really it was a combination of those.
Gi’s mother was a Kumiho, or a fox spirit, who had seduced the young boys father away from his former wife. The male was one of the unplanned results of their affair. His mother hadn’t wanted to have children to begin with, out of fear of passing down her curse to their daughter. They had fled their village and moved here to be away from all who knew about the affair and suspected the cause. But their safety was short lived.
Once word spread that Mrs. Yeon was a Kumiho the family knew their days were numbered. No one wanted to risk having her kind live in their community because even if she remained faithful to her husband the power she possessed could attract others like her. Shortly before the villiagers agreed to permanatly rid themselves of the Yeon’s, Gi-Ju and a number of other kids in their small village were swiped up in the middle of the night by a rouge wolf pack looking to increase their numbers.
Growing up surrounded by monsters had it advantages and challenges. For starters Gi developed a thick skin and knew how to fight, but he was also more morbid and darker than the normal children in the towns they traveled to so he and his new siblings stuck out like sore thumbs. Gi-Ju’s body is riddled with scars. A lot of them came from being punished by the pack leaders from disobeying orders. Gi-Ju didn’t fall in line like the other children had because he knew who his true family was and wanted to get back to his mother as soon as possible. That never happened and over time he knew her mother had passed.
Eventually when he grew old enough and the pack leaders believed that they could trust him they allowed Gi-Ju to leave the compound on a ‘recruitment’ run with some of the other boys. Gi-Ju purposely sabotaged the run, helping the kidnapped children escape before killing the men he had been sent with as a sign that he was leaving the pack for good. He would spend his next years on the run, having to fight whatever members crossed his path in an effort to save his life. In time he grew tired of running and decided to settle down.
He was caught again within the next few years and forced back into the pack she had fought so hard to be rid of. Stuck in Devil’s Crown again he was given the title of Omega as punishment for what he had done.
After spending around 200 years as the Omega the Alpha finay decided that the position should g to someone ele and released Gi-Ju from his servitude.
Personality:
Due to the way Gi-Ju was raised he’s very closed off and evasive. He’s more likely to tell you exactly what you want to hear in favor of how he truly feels, if only to get you to back off. He’s rather driven and head strong. Now that he’s a werewolf he’s use to always getting his way and isn’t afraid to break a few rules to do so. However, beneath the surface he's a bit different. He's againt the slave trade that happene within Devil's Crown and vowed to never contribute to it.

“Sometimes the wrong path can lead us to the right road.”
Biography:(This biography has the following triggers: sexual assault (rape), death, scarification, pedophilia and possible gore. Proceed with cation.)
Siobhan was not turned for her good looks. She wasn';t a part of some beautiful little love story; her life meant nothing to her master so he wouldn’t care to save her and she sure as hell wasn't turned because she begged for it. Siobhan was killed all because she had sisters.
As a child Siobahn was the exact opposite of what she is today; friendly, trusting, hopeful, and curious to name a few traits. She’d spend most days avoiding her sisters by exploring the abandoned houses near their home and napping in fields when she grew tired. She had a wild imagination so all the world was filled with friends for her to play with in place of her two twin sisters. Being a triplet was weird enough for Siobhan due to the fact that her sisters seemed to want nothing to do with her (twos company but threes a crowd you know?) and then with her parents constantly bickering (of course it mostly happened at night, when they assumed the girls were all sleeping but since Shiv spent most of her days either prancing about or napping she was typically wide awake at night) over what the simultaneous birth of their three daughters could mean and what should be done about it. Even at the young age of 6 she knew that she was the least loved out of the other two girls, at least when it came to her mother.
Shiv’s mother thought that the birth of three was clearly a bad omen and that their family was marked for death. Because of this she now wanted to give one of the girls away to a “better home”, although at first the thought of killing one was on her mind. The girls father believed that the birth of their daughters, no matter how surprising or ill-timed it may have been was a blessing in disguise and insisted on keeping all of the children. Unfortunately for him, his wife was entirely insistent upon getting her way and was willing to go to whatever lengths necessary to ease her fears.
Not much longer after that Shiv’s mother decided to put her plan into motion. She had heard word around town that there was a group of people that took in unwanted children… completely free of charge. She jumped at the chance to ease her own fears and be rid of one of her daughters but she couldn’t decide which, she couldn’t go by looks, they were triplets after all so she decided to go on behavior.
Watching the girls for months Mrs. Tanner began to notice something, two of the triplets got along very well behaving almost as if they were attached at the hip, while the other seemed to distance herself from them altogether. Knowing that Daphne and Veronica would do whatever she asked she enticed them into helping her get rid of their sister, even going as far as to tell them if they did it correctly they would never see her again. Once the plan was in motion all she had to do was wait and make sure she had the perfect story and emotion to go with pretending not to be involved in the girl's disappearance.
One spring day Daphne and Veronica saw Siobhan playing in the meadow and decided to join her. Shiv was so excited and confused about her sisters sudden desire to play with her she thought nothing of it. After all, who would think that two six year olds were capable of helping sell another into slavery. Just before dusk Daphne noticed a small cat running into one of the old houses that Shiv liked to play in and told the girl to go find it so they could bring it home. Off the three girls ran into the home one in search of a cat the others in search of cover.
Inside the run down building a man was hiding, waiting to capture the one he had been sent for, he had been told that his prize was a little girl, a triplet of all things and that her sisters would be with her when he found her so he needed to be careful to take the one that had been marked for him. “Look for a green ribbon,” Mrs. Tanner had told him. “She is the one that goes, only her.” But all the waiting had nearly ruined his chances when he saw the first set of girls and lunged from his spot early, startling them both because he was far too excited to wait any longer. At the sound of the screams Shiv came running through the house, only to land right in the arms of her captor who rushed her out of the house and into the woods, never too be seen by her family again.
Although nothing ever came of the search Mr. Tanner knew that his wife had to have had something to do with the disappearance and vowed to find out the truth one day. The relationship between him and his family eventually soured over the years until he broke, moving into their coach house rather than say in the home he now hated so much.
But long before that happened Shiv was sold by her captor to another man, one much darker and more dangerous than the other. Little did he or Siobhan know but her new “owner” wasn’t like them at all, he wasn’t human and hadn’t been for some years. She would spend the next twenty-four years as a slave, a human to be fed on by men who believed themselves to be gods because they never aged or died except for by sunlight, beheading or removal of their hearts. And a play thing to those that bayed at the moon. It wasn’t wasn’t until she was fifteen that Siobhan discovered that these men would use her for things other than her blood. The first one to use her like this was Elihas, a man of little control who had no patience for her screams for mercy and nearly killed her that first night.
Over the years she grew grateful for only a few things, the first being the sunlight that streamed through the windows of the cellar they were kept in, because it warmed her skin. She was also grateful for the small amounts of food they gave her, and for the fact that unlike them she would eventually die. But she was never grateful for the fact that she was still alive, she prayed everyday that she would die, either of her own accord or that one of those bastards would lose control and kill her. Nor was she grateful for the scars, hundreds of them, maybe thousands – she had lost count years ago – littered her body as freckles would, spelling out the hell she had been put through.
She hated her scars because they told her that she was tainted, ruined… marked by impossible beasts with angelic faces and never to be loved by anyone else. The one on the skin of her neck bothered her the most. It was the first one she had ever gotten, the one Elihas had given her when she was six and couldn’t handle being bitten. She hated it even more because she was always aware of it. Fingers ghosting absentmindedly along the inch wide gash in her pale flesh as she thought, tracing the expanse of it – feeling it curl toward her collarbone. She could feel Elihas’ tongue swirling around it, tasting his craftsmanship as it did every time they were together and it sickened her to think had she gotten the scar another way, had Elihas been some man she had met in a tavern or somewhere in town how weak in the knees the action would have made her. But none of those things had happened, and all the men here had added their own lines into her flesh in an effort not to be out done, not to be the only one that hadn’t claimed apart of her body with a knife like they had with their own flesh.
Months before she turned 28, Elihas decided to claim Shiv as his own personal slave, meaning that unless his permission was given none of the other men were allowed to touch her. Knowing that the number of men she had to satisfy had decreased from seven to one may have been her only happy moment since childhood. But that happiness was short lived because she knew what kind of man Elihas was and had learned to fear him long ago. Siobhan’s problems would eventually increase in the form of two women, Marina and Alana, who had been jockeying for the spot she had been given after Elihas’ last personal slave had died, took issue with the fact that they had been overlooked in favor of her. They decided that they needed to get Shiv out of the way so that they would be once again eligible to take her place.
As a personal slave she was allotted a few more privileges then the other women, like better meals and a more regular bath routine. Now that she was higher than the other women she essentially had to bathe herself and Elihas whenever he wanted on top of her normal duties, but she wasn’t allowed to leave the room within the house Elihas kept her in. So any amenities she needed, such has free towels or linen had to be brought in by others. The women decided to use her bath time as the perfect chance to kill her, but they wanted it to seem like she died naturally rather than nefariously so Maria placed a tainted rag borrowed from another slave within the towel selection Siobhan had asked for. Knowing that it would only be a matter of hours before she bathed with the tuberculosis riddled cloth the women rushed back to their cell to wait.
The illness hit Shiv’s fragile immune system hard and she grew almost deathly ill by the end of the following week. Surprisingly enough her sudden illness bothered Elihas, if only because he had never loss a slave of her caliber so soon given all he allowed her and took enough pity on her by giving her a little of his blood a day, just enough to ease her pain as he sought out more permanent options. Elihas was just another lowly wolf in their pack, not awarded any position that would allow him to turn the girl without first contacting his Alpha. So he hoped that giving her his blood would protect her until the Alpha gave him permision to turn her.
Unfortunatly for both Siobhan and Elihas the blood did little to save her and the Alpha refused to give his permission. As a result Elihas recended his claim over her and sent her back to he cells to die. When she awoke back in the cells next to the body of the women who’s illness had been used to infect her Siobhan was many things. First of all she was disgusted that she had been so quickly and carelessly discarded, secondly she was furious that in her eyes Elihas hadn’t tried to save her and had allowed her to be returned to such a place (after all she had done for him), and that those women – people she considered friends for years had tried to kill her. But she also felt things she had never dreamed of feeling. Suddenly everything about her was amplified, her sight, hearing, touch, strength – she discovered after tearing the cell door from it’s hinges – had all increased 100 fold.
But now she was hungry, and pissed off. She could hear the heartbeats of the women around her triple in fear as they saw her rise and walk through the cellar. Some even muttered prayers under their breath as she examined them. The moment her eyes landed on Marina and Alana something within Shiv snapped and she flew into a rage, breaking into the cell in order to quell her hunger and thirst for revenge, but it didn’t work. She wound up killing every single slave in the building before the guards could get to her, and they too entered the cellar only to die. The men she didn’t tear to pieces she killed simply because she could, for the first time in her life she felt powerful and she wasn’t going to let it go to waste.
By the time Elihas reached the cellar, Siobhan was gone.
Shiv would roam the earth for ten years, terrorizing anyone that crossed her path. But before long she grew bored and wanted something else to do so she returned home, not caring if Elihas was still out looking for her because if he really wanted to find her all he needed to do was follow the trail of bodies in her wake. Life in the Tanner home was far different than what she had left. By this time her parents were completely separated, her father even going as far as to move his mistress into his coach house with him and her sisters were married with families of their own.
After watching them carry on for months Siobhan decided to make her presence known, appearing to her father first out of loyalty. Needless to say the man was shocked, standing before him was a women that looked exactly like his daughters had ten years before but this one looked as if she wasn’t a day over twenty-eight. Finding out that this was his long lost Shivvy nearly made him have a heart attack, but once the shock left him he was overjoyed that she was still alive and had come back to him, he told her all about what had happened after she was taken, even that he suspected his wife had something to do with it but never her daughters as he had later learned from Shiv.
The information angered him, but what he would learn next sent him into tears. Siobhan told her father of all the things she experienced at Elihas’ home, even showed her father the brand that bore her old masters name that was so deep it was the only physical reminder of her time there other than what she now was. Her father’s mistress held him as he cried, apologizing for not being able to find her and save her from that. But Shiv knew how was really to blame for what had happened to her, and with her fathers permission she would do something about it. His only stimpulation was that his grandchildren survive. Although they were “properly horrid shits, like their mothers” Mr. Tanner wanted them to continue his lineage in case he and his mistress couldn’t since Siobhan was now barren. Something she was now grateful for given what she was.
Once her father and his mistress had gathered their belongs and left on their trip – an event that would alibi them for the murder of his current wife and two daughters who when discovered days later were vary hard to identify by the peaces left.
Personality:
Private, rarely talks about their feelings. Can be insensitive to the hardships of others. A planner. Well-organized and hard-working. A perfectionist. Logical and analytical. Not adventurous or spontaneous. Realistic. Would rather be friendless than jobless. Holds people to high standards and does not accept apologies easily. She’s also more antagonizing towards male figures as well.
Appearance:
One of Siobhan’s most notable cars is the one that runs along the right side of her neck, starting just below her ear, and curves down in between her shoulder blade. Four long, thick, claw-like gashes sit there, forever marking the moment she was destined to become a werewolf. She has a few others, many of which she can’t remember getting. But the one between her shoulders is the one she struggled the most to come to grips with. She use to hate it, even in summer months she’d wear turtleneck sweaters and refuse to go swimming. All because of this one collection of scars, and what they meant to her.
Desired Relationships:
William Khrisner - BETA; Will is the only man outside of her now dead father that Siobhan trusts. They met when Shiv first wandered into Devil's Crown and it wasn't long before the then Omega won her friendship. Although it happened much sooner than either of them thought they weren't all that surprised. It was with his help that Siobhan over threw the pack leaders of that time and crowned herself Alpha. Out of loyalty to her friend she made him her Beta and the two set about changing the way the town ran. It' been a little over five hundred years.
Elihas - SIRE; Rumor has it that Elihas is still alive and searching searching for Siobhan.
Angeline Jones was born to a relatively lower class family in 1932, her stunning white skin was an oddity to her parents. They were told their daughter was albino, and that confused them even more. What did they do that caused their baby to look like that? She was beautiful, her mother was always proud of that, but her mother still felt scared that Angeline would be discriminated again. Unfortunately, her mother was right. Despite how happy of a child Angeline was, people still tried to ruin that happiness.
Freak! Weirdo! Demon!
Those words still ring through Angeline’s mind, even in her older age. They had always hurt, but it wasn’t as easy to ignore in her young age. At the young age of 13, she had fallen into a deep depression. She felt hopeless, but that didn’t last for too long. She had met a boy, a boy who called her names, but not the mean ones she had heard her entire life
Beautiful. Angel. Wonderful.
Before this boy, she had only heard those from her family. She had never thought she’d heard those, especially not from a boy. She quickly fell into love with Jonathan, but as her luck is, it didn’t last long. He had to move away after just a few months of dating. Angeline was heartbroken, she thought she’d never see him again. She was wrong
At the age of 19, she had been moving through life. She had graduated, one of the very few girls in her class(How that occurred, she didn’t know) She had found a love in gardening, and worked part-time in a flower shop near her home. She had still lived with her parents, but this wouldn’t be too much longer. One day on the way back home, she saw a familiar face in the darkness.
Jonathan?
It was him, indeed. She immediately invited him over, but he seemed fairly reluctant. Her love was still boiling high, and she wondered if he just didn’t love her anymore. After a few weeks of nightly visits, she got the idea that he just wasn’t the Jonathan she used to know. He was deathly pale, and he kept refusing to get close to her. One night, Jonathan was acting erratic, breathing heavy and kept staring at her. She wondered if it was her fault, if she did something wrong. She kept trying to get him to talk as he tried to leave. She wouldn’t let him go. She sort of regrets it
He went crazy. Bit her, drained her…changed her…
She couldn’t believe him at first, but she knew it was true. She refused to talk to him, even though he still tries to this day to talk to her she still won’t. It took her years to learn to control herself, and she became extremely reserved for decades, not talking to anyone. The past few years, though, she’s found a place for herself. New Orleans. She managed to open up a little flower shop, where she doesn’t necessarily work at during the day, but at night she’ll come out and take care of the flowers. She likes to visit nightclubs, or just night buildings. Many have seen the albino girl, and some even say she’s a ghost due to how she only comes out at night, how she wanders, how she doesn’t really talk much and just how she looks. She hopes for love, a family. Will New Orleans give this to her?

They fell in love with the mundane world and all the excitement that it entailed. Their mundane form had a similar appearance to that little girl, as if to replace her in the world when she ultimately perished. The only part of Mundane society they did not quite understand were gender roles. Though Sharma themself has more feminine qualities they identify as agender.
They often allow their mundane form to wander the realm of the mundane, they enjoy sitting back and watching cultures change and move foreword. They fell in love with the human world, even the non-human creatures it contained such as witches. They often avoided warlocks however, fearing that the creatures would force them back to their master and they would lose their free will. They adopted the name of Lassie, a joke they found hilarious, their own call back to what they truly were.
Their master still often calls upon them to carry out tasks. They can still be quite the ruthless killer, but they cling to their free will when they have it. They thrive in New Orleans where they have picked up on all the supernatural activity. The hell hound has become attached to the mundane world, the mundane cultures, and often when talking to them they will probably seem mundane outside of their eyes appearing differently. They are a personable person, now trying to get in personally with the Shadowhunters, trying to show to them that the supernatural and the mundane can live in harmony, which is hard when Lassie’s heart still belongs to their masters.

» Biography «
Asher has only ever known a life in which he was tasked to obey his master. As far as he can remember, he was brought into existence in order to do whatever his master wanted. Asher was given his name due to his dark fur that is the color of ashes; as a mundane, Asher’s coloring is more close to a burning fire. Asher enjoys his mundane form and would give anything to be able to live as a mortal forever. But he is under a contract he wasn’t aware he signed. In truth, Asher was, at some point, a mundane. He was twenty years old when he became very sick. Every doctor he went to had no idea what was the cause of his illness but that was only because in the time era in which Asher was mortal, little was known about the cancer that would take his life. In an act of desperation, Asher summoned a pair of demons to save his life. What he didn’t know was that he would become immortal but at a price. Asher would no longer walk the mortal plane and wear the flesh of a mundane. He would become the lap dog of the demons he summoned, forever forced to obey their every command. And that’s just what he did.
It was a normal Sunday afternoon when Asher was roaming around the city as he so often did. As he was rounding a corner, a familiar voice boomed in his head. It was his demon master, setting Asher on yet another task that he had no choice but to go through with. If Asher had a choice, he was sure that he would have turned around and gone somewhere—anywhere—else. But because he didn’t, Asher made his way to Lilith Roth’s house. The mission was simple, destroy the enemy. Asher wasn’t privy to the details and didn’t dare to ask.
Unbeknownst to Asher, his master changed his memories to make him think he was a hero. As Asher was walking towards the Roth residence, he heard yelling and immediately ran towards the source with the intention of helping. Completely unaware that he was being controlled by his master, Asher ran without a blink of fear in his eyes. When he arrived at his destination, he could sense that there was something seriously wrong. A tall, lanky man was throwing things everywhere as a blonde woman screamed at him. His eyes were red with blood, his skin pale, and he seemed maddened. When Asher attempted to get the man to calm down, the man lunged at him. It was a split second reaction, something you don’t think of doing. In order to defend himself, Asher’s powers kicked in and within seconds, Asher was on top of the man. Whether out of fear or protection, Lilith freaked out and ended up setting fire to the carpet. This resulted in the man bursting into flame, lighting the house with him. Asher could do nothing but run out and try to piece everything together. But that would prove to be an impossible task, something that he would never be able to do. In that moment, Asher knew what he had done; he had just murdered the man. Whether accident or not—it was murder. In an instant, Asher took off, never to look back again.
But he would not run away. Inevitably, Asher found himself back to his masters. Even though he wished with every core of his being to go somewhere else, he still found himself back where he belonged. Because he was so distraught about the situation, Asher’s master altered his perception of the scenario. It was easier for Asher to believe that what he had done was a mere accident; that he hadn’t intended to be a murderer. Despite being the dog of a demon, Asher’s moral compass was always on point. It was hard for him to do bad things and far easier to believe that his actions were for the better.

Lilith Roth » Asher believes that he was helping Lilith on the day she set fire to the apartment she shared with her lover. The truth is that Asher was sent there to kill Lilith by his masters.
Charlotte and Elliott Wilder » Asher's masters. Elliott is his true master but Charlotte does have some sway over the hellhound; not enough to keep her satisfied, something the duo fight over constantly.
As a child Mary MacDonald always believed that there was nothing out of the ordinary about her family where magic and muggle life blended almost seamlessly; they lived on the outskirts of a muggle village, and she had both muggle and wizarding children to play with on a regular basis. Her father apparated to work in London every morning, and her mother took the family car into the village where she owned a tea shop. She learned early on that she was not allowed to do magic in front of others because keeping it a secret was very important, but it was sometimes difficult for her not to talk about the wonderful things she and her father could do. More often than not her muggle friends thought that it was all make believe, but Remus Lupin, another halfblood, was always willing to listen to her go on and on about how much she was looking forward to being a real witch.
She’d ‘borrowed’ her father’s Hufflepuff tie and Hogwarts robes so often that he’d made her a set of her very own long before her letter arrived, so when the owl flew in at breakfast slept with it under her pillow for weeks before her mother and father took her to Hogsmeade to buy her first supplies. She rushed to tell Remus, hoping that her excitement would draw him out of his shell, but not for the first time his parents told her that he was too ill to see people. The correlation between the full moon and her friend’s mysterious chronic illness had never occurred to her, but she had grown increasingly concerned by the fact that he was more withdrawn than ever.
While there had been no pressure or expectation, Mary assumed that she would be sorted into Hufflepuff like her father; the Hat paused for a moment before ultimately deciding that she would be better suited for Gryffindor, and she happily took her seat near Remus. Once the school year began in earnest she had no doubts that she belonged among the brave and bold Gryffindors, always willing to stand up for what they believed in, and it brought out the best of her. She became more confident and was an outgoing and vivacious student; Mary was well liked by almost all of her professors, and she excelled at Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms. Her friendship with Remus became more and more strained as he seemed to withdraw and become secretive, and she grew closer to her roommates: Marlene McKinnon, Alice Fortescue, and Lily Evans.
Her almost idyllic experience at Hogwarts came to a screeching halt just after they returned from Christmas holiday during their fifth year, when for the first time the blood prejudice hit home for Mary. Caius Mulciber and Marcus Avery cornered her in a secluded hallway, wands out and growling about jumped up little halfblood twits who ought to know their places; it was almost two hours before Frank Longbottom, Caradoc Dearborn, and Emma Vanity found them and stopped them from torturing her, and she spent a week in the hospital wing. Word spread quickly through out the student body, but Mary refused to tell Professors Dumbledore and McGonagall who had attacked her. Determined not to allow them to defeat her, she decided to return to school in spite of her parents’ assurances that she could finish out her education at home. Things are different for her now—and she is more withdrawn and quieter—but her friends are determined to protect her and help her find herself again.
