Wee venting post cuz I need to. First off, I you don't know this artist go check her insta cuz she's amazing.
I found this particular post and it really rang some bells. I have mostly average body shape, I'm between size 38 and 40. And yet, I have the hardest time finding a fitting shirt or dress due to my breasts. I am French, I only know my French size of bra which is 85E.
I am tired of looking for cute clothes, finding one in my size and then, trying it on just to find out that due to my breasts, I won't be able to zip that dress to the top without choking myself to death or wear that cute shirt without having a hole showing my bra in between two buttons.
You could just say: "Why don't you get the above size ?" And the answer to that is, bc it doesn't fit the rest of my body anymore. If I pick up a size 42 or 44 my breasts might fit but then I'll have an I'll fitting clothes that won't look as good on me as it should.
I should be able to find clothes that suit me without needing to rearrange and resew them every time. I should be able to find clothes that look good on me, and everyone sharing my body type.
The clothes industry needs to stop expecting grown adults fitting into pre-adolescent sized clothes. They need to provide more diverse cuts and sizes to fit everyone and not just thin 12 year olds.
