i'm watching s2 of swat rn and 100%, the way they have regular little mentions of rocker in episodes where he doesn't appear is so good to me and plays into one of the reasons why getting into swat makes me hate the "it's just a procedural lol you're overthinking it!!" defense Even More when people criticise 911. swat is Such a procedural and yet !!! people exist outside of their scenes, the mains all have relationships with each other rather than just one or two scene partners, a lot of threads - plot, character, emotional - carry through for longer than one or two episodes, people have relationships outside of their colleagues, characters learn and grow. and the audience can follow all of this so so so easily. it has a measure of faith in the viewers and our ability to follow a story. i'm not going to argue that it's the best show on tv or anything, but damn, the difference is noticeable.

it's definitely highly flawed (even without getting into the copaganda of it all) but there's a lot of things they're doing right especially regarding characters and their relationships and it's refreshing getting back into that after the mess that is this season of 911 🙏

Back when Evan had returned from his shopping trip with not just one but two waterproof bed sheets - for when one’s in the wash, duh - Tommy hadn't quite shared in his enthusiasm.  He loved how comfortable Evan had gotten about this particular kink but the bed was kind of a sacred space for Tommy and he was sure if they used it once there would be no going back.  Plus, waterproof sheets wouldn't save their pillows or top sheets from getting soaked. He did not want to give that up. It was too early to get up on a shared Sunday off anyway.  Plus, Evan, still ridiculously tangled in the sheets, had somehow managed to trap one of Tommy’s legs between his own and Tommy didn't want to wake him. He remembered the waterproof sheets and hesitated for a moment, thinking this through. After some internal back and forth he decided fuck it. Maybe his laziness made the decision for him or maybe it was his slowly growing erection at the thought of wetting the bed; and not just that, but wetting the bed with a sleeping Evan in it, waking him up with a wet hot surprise. Slowly Tommy relaxed, telling his body it was okay to let go. It took a little while but after a few deep breaths the first small spurts escaped, wetting his boxers, making the thin fabric cling to his skin. He had to admit that it felt incredible to relieve himself in this cozy little bubble. His stream became stronger and Tommy let out a sigh of relief as he watched the little pale yellow puddle form between his crotch and Evan’s, before it soaked into the sheets. Next to him Evan slowly stirred awake, barely opening his eyes, mumbling a good morning at Tommy and letting out a huge yawn. Tommy didn't even try to stop peeing, just letting it flow between them freely...
