Silverwield can’t stop me from saying what I want
> I love how in your last reply you said Aerith was just using Cloud to cope with Zack’s death but now you admit you don’t even like Zerith and prefer Cissnei with Zack because she’s "more loyal." Okay then, die on that hill every day, no one’s stopping you.
Meanwhile, Aerith will remain beloved and iconic, even if you cry harder. She doesn’t owe Zack anything. He’s already accepted that she’s in love with someone else. She’s not begging for forgiveness, she doesn’t need to.
And Zack? He’d do anything for Aerith. Even tell the man she loves to go save her… while you’re out here crying over pixels. Stay mad

So, you made a whole train, no; A whole SUBWAY SYSTEM of thoughts, based on me preferring a different pairing, just to what? mock me? tease me? If i ignore you, you'll think "oh i struck a nerve", if i do reply, well god knows how you would react, but i'll bite, i'm bored, it's night, and my insomnia is flaring up so if you wanna have an answer here it is.
Let's explain my point:
Do i like Aerith? MEH, My dislike of her, comes from how annoyins she is the cutscenes (i can't do much if the developers made her unplayable in the actual game, can't dodge, can't block, and her abilities are replaceable thanks to Healing Materia and Cleansing Materia): she doesn't understand the concept of personal space. She intrudes in other people's moments. She is a plot-device, a tool, if she was an object, i wouldn't make a difference(i mean it would because she wouldn't be talking and moving, but her purpose in the story is basically to be used to use an ability to defeat the bad guy).
Do i like Zack? I mean, he is a good friend to a lot of people, i think everyone would be happy to have someone like him in their life.
Do i like Cissnei? She is not as unpleasant as Aerith is, to be fair she is a secondary, maybe tertiary character, she is part of the story, but like a background character: The main plot doesn't change without her, that doesn't stop me to enjoy her presence when she is on the scene.
Do i accept the canon? Yes, always, i may not like how a story ends, and i may even make my own headcanons, but they stick to the canon as much as possible.
Do i like the idea of Zack x Cissnei? Yes.
Do i understand it's not canon and never will be? Absolutely.
Will that(the fact that it's not canon and never will be) stop me from enjoying an idea, something that is barely a concept in my head, born from my frustration and annoyance with Aerith? Absolutely not.
Do i like Zerith? Again, it's Aerith, they are good together but when i see how annoying Aerith is, i feel bad for Zack(despite being a fictional character): His body got barely buried somewhere, and Aerith is using Zack's bestie to cope with him, intruding in Cloud and Tifa's moments.
The way you describe Zack is how i would describe a pushover: Sure Zack would want Aerith to move on, EVENTUALLY, not like while his own corpse is still warm-ish. Maybe after a year or two, not WEEKS since his own death! You can say "but zack went missing years ago, as far as Aerith knows, so she could have started moving on much earlier than Zack's death" and my reply would be "and yet, she kept writing letters for him, and we know that the last one was fairly recent, as Zack got it soon after he defeated Genesis in Banora, that same 89th letter is what let Zack know that he spent 4 years comatose with Cloud, and it's the content of the letter that makes him decide to go to Midgar(right under Shinra's ass, and the location of Shinra's most important person who isn't the president: Aerith herself)".
Now let's talk about your "but Aerith is iconic and beloved": Well she may be, that doesn't change what i think of her, i'm not a sheep that follows everyone(i mean, you may accuse me of being one for liking Tifa, so the statements cancel each other out). I can point out how Tifa's merch is sold more often and in bigger amounts compared to Aerith's merch, so if people buy more of Tifa's stuff does it mean that Tifa is AT LEAST just as iconic and beloved? By your own logic, YES! ABSOLUTELY! And it's fantastic because it makes sense: Who would ever think of buying something they don't like (unless they need it)?
Aerith loves Cloud? Since when?! in Remake and Rebirth (which are proved to be faulty due to the Eng-Localization problems, who really messed up the translation, and pushed their own agenda, and we have proofs, keep following silver-wield, she posts about it fairly often), i mean Aerith's Resolution in remake even ends with Aerith saying to Cloud "don't fall in love with me"(which was hilarious, Cloud has only one person in his head, a black haired woman who kicks everyone's ass like it's her main job, so that warning was a waste of time in every conceivable way), like what the hell the developers were smoking, and how can i get some? In the OG she is just there during Midgar, pushing Cloud to do things her way(like going to her home, stay for dinner, stay for the night, and everytime Cloud said NO! But Cloud is someone who would rather say yes than having an unpleasant conversation, basically Aerith exhausted him into accepting her invites), then it's nothing until Cosmo Canyon, where she barely gives a few "oh"s during Burgenhagen's stories, then it's straight to Nibelheim(where she isn't important), then Temple of the Ancients where she learns about Jenova and gets beaten to a pulp by a brainwashed Cloud, then her death, and then she is barely mentioned/grieved and she uses Holy(yes that's her job, be a sentient ghost long enough to cast a spell with odd requirements), and then it's nothing until Advent Children, where she wets her dress trying to ignore Ghost-Sephiroth and the Geostigma-drama.
In the Remake/Rebirth? Due to Remake being just midgar, we got LONGER dialogues(which could be shortened to the OG-version of those dialogues), and a few extra-scenes(like the resolutions) or the ghost train-station thing. In Reunion, until the last 2 chapters(Chapter 13 and 14) things are relatively the same as OG, but in an exhausting way, Aerith gets longer dialogues, during those "let's be forced to talk to all characters"-moments which happen like once every 2 chapters. We(but in the OG doesn't happen) get the Cloud grabs Aerith(as they're about to fall) at the temple of the ancients and that weird date(another timeline or dream? doesn't matter) where Cloud once again is pushed into sucking it up and pretend to care(and fails at pretending), then chapter 14, where the outside Aerith's death, we have Sephiroth Reborn and Zack from another timeline helping Cloud&Co. Then we get the post final-boss moment with everyone grieving while Aerith is a lifestream-ghost.
Honestly, i've no idea what else there is to say. Your message is pointless, didn't have any effect, but you wouldn't believe me, because if you wanted to shame me or insult me or mock me, you failed, i don't care, i have no idea who you are, meaning that i don't have any feelings for you at all, i don't look up to you, you're a stranger who i didn't even bother to read the nickname, you're a nobody to me, best case scenario, i respect that you didn't choose to use the anon-button/anon-feature and believe me, if this respect is barely a pinch of it. I wasted my time on this reply out of absolute boredom.
Feel free to message me, or try to correct me. It may help me fight off my boredom.
