HELP! B&N is Refusing to Pay Royalties
I'm a self published author. That means I'm responsible for everything that goes into making my books. That also means that I don't make much money. Barnes and Noble is refusing to pay me my royalties. I have contacted them several times asking nicely to pay what they owe. They have refused to pay. Repeatedly. And ignored my emails. The catch is that they want my royalties to meet a minimum threshold. I have told them that the promotion period has ended and that there are no more sales. They don't care. They're a multi-million dollar company. And they refuse to pay an independent author a few coins that are rightfully the author's to begin with. So, I'm asking for your help, dear readers. If you can help financially, please buy the book so that the book can meet the minimum threshold. The e-book is only $0.99: The book. If/Once the book meets the minimum threshold, it will be retired from their website. The company doesn't deserve to make any more money from my hard work. The book will be available on other platforms that do not require the minimum threshold. Another way you can help is legally. If you have any advice on how to tackle this issue, or can provide any legal assistance, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading, and beware of the money-hungry company feeding off of others work.

Nostalgia / Progress Report
It’s a powerful feeling. An overwhelming feeling, even. Watching some old videos, or reading an old book, or what have you. It can all come rushing back. In this particular case, it involves a music artist. Or rather the lack on of their being in the current stream. A legendary group from a small peninsula in Asia. Seems like a random topic, doesn’t it? Well, maybe. But that’s what’s on the mind. Start thinking about their albums, their non-existent world tours that should’ve been, the crappy company that led to their downfall. Or maybe it was them? The bottom line is that they are no longer as how they once were. And it saddens their fans. Why did it all have to be that way? A questions that many might ask. But no one really knows the answer. At the very least, no one besides those involved. And so here we are. Back at the unknown. __________ Status: Writing. Still have some ways to go. But it’s getting there. Slowly but surely... __________ Smooth sailing, Captain __________
This is your Captain speaking.
I have no idea what I’m doing. Not knowing what to do with blogs, and this site, and maybe just in general. Life is kinda complicated that way. It can be silly, it can be sad. It can be frightful. It can be beautiful. I started this blog to document my voyage on becoming a published author, and probably a game maker/developer, and possibly an artist. I won’t bore you with the personal aspects of my life. That’s a whole ‘nother story. But long story short: stuff happened, and I need to do something about... a lotta thangs. Life is hard. I want to do something better with my time. Honesty. But one post at a time! Interested in boarding the ship? Don’t worry, stowaways aren’t thrown overboard. In fact, have a seat atop the deck. The more the merrier when it comes to singing chanteys. What I’m saying is: welcome aboard. Come sail away with me on this wonderful journey.
