ever so workaholic andrew had been working late and extra hours for the past few months in order to be able to earn enough days off the dates he wanted for the summer holidays since audrie and he had been planning to do a little summer trip for a long time now. the male himself didn’t really enjoy traveling at all that much, but some time away from work and the usual routines would be good for the soul and mind. or so he hoped since he was a bit hesitant at first, but slowly warmed up to the greek islands trip idea from seeing audrie so excited about it. “everything ready, love? our flight is starting the boarding now. passport and ticket?”

                                       the night is reminiscent of the first time they met but things are definitely not as cute and fun as they were back then. zee wears a dark cap, trying to hide his features albeit his tall stature makes him stick out anyway, in the hopes that no one outside of miyoung recognizes him for her sake. the ‘we need to talk’ text he sent was cliche to say the least but he didn’t know what else to say, too burdened by what had become of their relationship and how her parents felt about it. 

he waits outside a dingy cafe, one that not many people knew anyway, and desperately prayed she wasn’t being followed by anyone. he didn’t want to have to deal with anything more than what he set out to do tonight.

                                      “over here, yup. follow the sound of my voice.” daphne isn’t one to make grand gestures and she figures lance isn’t particularly the type to like them, either. she does know, however, that he’s a romantic and has had a rough week so what better way to show how much she actually cares about him than to do a little something that is both economical and sweet? femme keeps one hand over his eyes and the other tugs him out to the rooftop of their apartment building where a special picnic is laid out. from here, they get a view of the cityscape, all the pretty lights twinkling like stars ( even through the smog and pollution ). “i’m gonna let go in 3, 2, 1...”

Meeting with his spouse shouldn’t be like this, but it’s better that they are able to meet in a neutral zone like a café rather than have to meet in an arbitration room. The more that they can keep this out of the hands of the court, the better. It’s not as if the two of them can’t be civil, despite the reason that they are in this mess being because their fights had become more and more frequent. So frequent that divorce had seemed like the best, most logical option. Much like what Connor is about to say is. “So I have been thinking...you should have the house.” He’s already been staying at a hotel. “I won’t fight you on that, okay? If you don’t want it, we can sell.” There are too many memories in that house, and he needs to start fresh.

“i have dinner!” she chirped upon the door opening, as if this hadn’t been their routine for a couple of weeks now. summer made enough dinner for herself and her neighbour across the hall after one too many takeaway delivery people had knocked at her apartment accidentally. “it’s good tonight, trust me. i can’t wait to have mine.”

                                     “do we really have to go to this party? i mean, do you even like those guys?” daphne was rarely one to turn down the chance to drink for absolutely no reason but she also liked to do so in good company. lance was more than enough but she also didn’t want to cling to him the whole time. “don’t you wanna stay in and get cozy?”

“Please? You know I wouldn’t be asking but they’ve been talking about everything we’re going to do together and the presents they got you. Just come for the week and after New Years we can tell them the truth.” Felicity was practically begging, which she didn’t do often, but she knew it would break her parents hearts if they found out Lucy and her had ended things right before the holidays.
