General Info
Cloudfrost was ruthless in his prime. He felt he needed to be in order to prove his worth to his skeptical clan mates. it was no secret that Adderstar tried forcing him to be a medicine cat or even a permanent elder due to being born deaf. He fought tooth and nail to prove himself a warrior up to the high standards of Shadowclan’s higher ranking members as a whole. This made him a very easy target for Adderstar’s manipulation and he only became less of a threat to everyone and everything around him when one of his paws was permanently crippled during a border scuffle and he finally retired.
Cloudfrost hated his parents. He blamed them for his deafness and believed they were actively against him as they seemed to favor his sister, Horsedapple. His resentment only grew as time went on and he found out his parents purposefully set him up to have a poorly skilled warrior as his mentor due to their close friendship with Adderstar. He actively avoided Horsedapple and she didn’t try to reach out to him either. His bitterness towards him never faded and he felt nothing when his family died in the greencough epidemic.
Cloudfrost’s only friend growing up was Sweetsong, and he tried courting her from very early on. He was furious with her when she took Vultureswoop as a mate and helped push Vultureswoop over the edge until she left the clan. He finally was able to win over Sweetsong, who was unaware of what he had done, and is still immensely proud of himself for his craftiness. He is not proud of his two children however. While Briarclaw is an incredible warrior and a credit to his bloodline, she had a kit while she was only an apprentice and Cloudfrost is ashamed of her for it. Frogstream reminds him of his old mentor and despite having Shadowclan’s most desirable molly for a mate, he feels Frogstream’s children will be weak and unskilled.
Personality
Cloudfrost has never been an easy cat to get along with. He is manipulative, arrogant, and overall unpleasant. He is able to hide it well, but a more observant cat can see the scheming look to his eyes.
Fun Facts
- Cloudfrost would start fights between apprentices during gatherings in his youth and pretend not to have taken part, using his disability to feign ignorance
- Cloudfrost is responsible for the most recent war between Shadowclan and Skyclan
- Cloudfrost was concerned he would lose Sweetsong to Viperstar, knowing he couldn’t challenge him and win
