yeah, that seems to be the common consensus.  the curse idea is interesting, but i just don’t care for the rest of it.  it just seems really heteronormative and ciscentric to have a species comprised almost entirely of women and then have them not only be heterosexual as a rule, but also have them have to rely on other species for survival.  why not just have them all be lesbians and half of them happen to have dicks?  bam.  problem solved.

stilettos actually make MORE sense in the sand, because the heel sinks down into the sand and then you just have normal shoes.*

I redesigned his coat the last time I drew post-dirge Gen specifically to not draw That Thing. What are those straps even.

What’s more, I’m so attached to CC!Genesis that looking at his DoC outfit makes me distressed not for much other reason than, well, There Is Leona, Getting Sentimental Over A Coat.

Because seriously for it to be in that state means it must’ve been ripped to hell and back! It’s in pieces! That poor coat.

Do you have a blanket to throw over the back that you wouldn’t mind getting kneaded instead? It’s not perfect but it’s saved us some damage.

unfortunately the blanket has to stay over my lap, to protect my legs from the consequences of a tubby massage

Timelines are nice for reference but made for breaking... and the CC guide apparently does say that Gast freed Ifalna from Shinra when he left. She could have had him in captivity before then, or he was a test tube baby made with her DNA later?

Yeaahhh that’s true. Genesis is older than Aerith, so he’d have to have been a thing before she was around, and Gast only meets Ifalna after he leaves Shinra, is all. 

But like you say, timelines are made to be broken, and if it’s AU anyway, then what’s the harm?

If nothing else... it’s possible that Shinra could’ve gotten a hold of a blood sample before all this, and especially if she’s not present, they wouldn’t really be able to make the leap between ‘Jenova is an ancient’ and ‘Jenova is not an ancient and is actually a virus and the enemy of the Cetra’. So, they might just think Ifalna (or as she’d be known back then, ‘the Donor’ or something like that) was just a different strand of Ancient. 

And if they thought that, then if Hojo is already of the mind to mix things up like he’d apparently been thinking of doing with Aerith and Nanaki in the OG, then why wouldn’t the Project G team think it’s a great idea to mix the supposed ‘two strands’ of Ancient DNA together and see what comes out?

Clearly, this did not work.
