While on my public break, I had posted the newest chapters to my Charpim island fic on Ao3! Now that I am coming out of my break (and to honor Smiling Friends ending tonight), I am now posting the links here for all of the lovely folks on Tumblr! Hope you enjoy! I love you all!!
🩷💛
Summary: After accidentally angering a self-proclaimed powerful wizard, who just so happens to be a new client for the Smiling Friends, Charlie finds himself with a curse that turns him into a small capybara by day and can only return to a critter during the night. Will he be able to break the curse before the end of the month, or will he be stuck as a small fuzzy animal for the rest of his already unlucky life?

I have been working on this alongside my other multi-chapter Charpim fic! It was based on an idea I had in my head for months about Charlie being cursed into a cute, fluffy animal (in this case, a capybara) and going on crazy hijinks to break the curse. Not realizing the answer was right in front of him the whole time
The fic currently has a planned total of fifteen chapters and even features my crittersona, Teena!! You can read some info about her in either of these posts:

Seeing how we’re in spooky month, it figures that it would be fitting to take these chapters in a bit of suspenseful direction! Things get intense, a new creature is revealed, and Charlie…things happen to him too. :]
Content warnings are in the beginnings notes of both chapters. Keep them in mind while you read!
I also created a logo for the fanfic that you’ll be seeing every time I post an update!
And with that, my Charpim fic that was originally meant to be a one-shot is now officially finished! This last chapter is a really long self indulgent fluff fest so prepare yourselves. For those who haven’t read the rest of the fic, please read the first two chapters before you read this one! Things are really intimate and a wee bit suggestive so keep that in mind before you read.
I’m so happy to finally have this out for all of y’all! Enjoy, feel free to leave comments and kudos, and I’ll see you all for when I post my next fic! 🫧💫
Sneak Peek for Chapter 7of “That Time we got Stranded on an Island”!
While Chapter 7 is finished, Chapter 8 still needs some work before I can post both of them. Enjoy this preview in the meantime!
Keep in mind that things might change from how these chapters are written in the future ✨

“Dude, are you sure that these birds know what they’re searching for?” Charlie asked as he walked behind Pim, who was carrying twigs and sticks of different sizes. The macaw flock had flown away in different directions, still in search of the location of the strawberry orchids and natural honey. None of the birds had returned with any updates, so the pair were stuck exploring and doing their own search on the island’s terrain.
“Positively certain!” Pim replied, doubt completely absent in his voice. “Cerulean horned macaws are incredibly smart. They’ll help us find what we need in no time.”
“I hope so.” Charlie rubbed his right arm while his shoulders hunched up. “It’s just…it feels like forever since we left in search of those ingredients. Feels like forever since we’ve been trapped here. And it’s only been half a day.” He turned his head up to look at the cloudless sky, the bright cyan shade that he first saw when he woke up on the dusty floor of the island had now become a hue of pale blue.
He wished he had a wristwatch on him so he could keep track of all the hours that he and his friends had spent on this tropical hellhole.
“I mean, apart from Allan, we have yet to set up a proper shelter, the captain is still missing, not to mention-” Charlie abruptly gasped and shouted while pointing. “THAT!”
Pim flinched at Charlie’s sudden shouting and turned to see what it was that his friend was scared of.
Turned out to just be a giant rat cleaning itself while standing on a boulder.
Pim stared at Charlie with a furrowed brow and a head tilt.
“Charlie, that's just a rat.” He spoke with a low tone of voice
“Exactly! I fucking hate those things, man! When I lived with my uncle there was a huge infestation of rats in his basement. He ended up having to go to the hospital because he got bitten by one.”
“Oh my.” Pim’s expression shifted from puzzlement to concern. “He did recover though, right?”
“Yeah! Yeah he did, thank heavens, but I will never forget the way they all scurried around and ate everything in sight. Not to mention the evil looks in their eyes…” Charlie began stared off into the distance with a blank gaze.
“Unresolved trauma aside, if we ever encounter more rats or any other weird looking creatures, it’s probably best if we stay away from them.” Charlie talked as he stepped cautiously away from the gray furred rat.
“Well the rats are understandable. But why can’t we talk to any other creatures? I could convince them to be friendly and help us out just like the macaws!”
“Allan and Glep are right though, Pim. We already have a lot on our hands and we can’t have anything else distracting us. Our only focus right now is on surviving and getting what we need so that we can get out of here before we all revert to thinking like cavemen.”
Without warning, the yellow critter yelped on as he tripped and landed face first on the hard dirt surface.
Pim gasped. “Charlie! Are you okay?”
Charlie groaned while he pushed himself upward and wiped the dirt off his face and shirt. “Peachy.” He replied with an irritated frown and he began to walk at a faster speed.
Pim looked down at the floor to look at whatever it was that caused Charlie to trip. It looked like an ordinary rock, but then it uncurled and revealed itself as a large lizard with spikes on its body and the tip of its tail.
Not wanting to get bitten by the rocky reptile, Pim jogged away until he caught up with Charlie, who grumbled while he dusted off the rest of the dirt that caught onto his arms.
As Pim walked next to his friend, he held a tighter grip on his bundle of sticks and looked around their current area.
There seemed to be no signs of strawberry orchids or honey in their close proximity. Instead there were mounds of grass and the trees didn’t have a single beehive hanging from their branches. The only things that hung from there were large leaves and long vines that entangled with one another.
Pim then looked up at Charlie. Seeing as how it was just the two of them now, Pim knew that it was time for the duo to have their overdue conversation.
