The first man is just a human guy in clown makeup. His name is Hugh!!
The second man is a REAL LIFE CLOWN (he's a demon clown :}) his name is Periwinkle!!
I really don't know how to supply any further context but I am editing a book about it, so- (events in this post are only loosely canonical anyway, and more conceptual)
