Considering their highly stressful night before, Avery wasn’t even partially prepared to play Ball Guy today. Kids might not be the most insightful beings on the planet, but even they could tell when Ball Guy was acting weirdly lethargic. He’d take the day off to rest and recuperate after their panic attack the day before.
As upsetting as it was to miss out on a night’s revenue and not be able to entertain the kids today, there was no way Avery could stay mad at that curious little Pokemon from the day before. It obviously didn’t mean any harm to them, and it had even taken care of them after they’d shouted... So t couldn’t be all bad.
Their hands were jammed in their pockets as they strolled through the Wild Area, looking for any sign of him again. If not, they’d just head back home and spend the rest of the day relaxing.
