Say there’s a ‘type of rainbow drinker’ of sorts that’s only purple-bloods(they have their own religion outside of The Mirthful Mesaiahs)they intergrade clown society/groups/etc because it’s the easiest way for them to go unseen by non-rainbow drinkers(plus purpleblooded trolls are a good food source for them). How would all of the clowns(gamzee, kurloz, ghb, marvus, chahut, the twins, hotdog clown and the other - forgot his name unfortunately 😅)react to finding out about this?

There have been these campfire stories about them since before GHB was born. But none of them have evn considered it was real. In order of Most Open to Least Open:

GHB: I mean, they could help with culling needs, but he isn't so dure about their beliefs.

Gamzee: Honestly thinks this may be a weirdly elaborate lie, but goes along with it, just in case. Lowkey thinks it would be cool to be one.

Kurloz: Ok with it as long as nobody touches him for a drink.

Hotdog: Could be brought to terms with it but does NOT want to be too close to any of them.

Marvus: The idea gives him the heebie-jeebies. He'll always seem chill, but will always have personnel near him when he has to meet with them. He does not need anyone getting weird with his blood.

Rapsta: Same as Marvus, but even more cautious and openly nervous at first.

Chahut: She views them as heretic mutants that should be culled. Not by her because she couldn't bring herself to cull a fellow purple.

Clownlets: They are all very much terrified by the ghost stories and this is a living nightmare to just know they're real.

So I have a nightly art exercise I've been doing since like April of last year, and I've decided I'm just gonna draw clownlets when I'm having artist's block.

Any day can be Taco Tuesday if you don't know what day of the week it is 🤡🌮

Man, I think I've got a concept I wanna lay on you, specifically. How do you think our canon clowns would feel watching a human deal with rage the way humans do? Not like in a hurtful way, just- letting off some anger steam in a healthy directed way. Ex: what's effective for lots of ppl is to scream into pillows & smack them around on the bed or floor- or immediately turn heel and go exercise like *right now*. Some even go to their car to yell. It'd prolly seem overly disciplined or just asinine

All of them would be some form of:

All 3 Makaras are stupefied. They understand that humans are weaker and squishier fleshbags that don’t culturally kill. But you just huff?? Scream a little???? No bottling it up?? And you let things go????? Humans are freaky. No wonder y’all never get anything done. 

Chahut is familiar with the techniques her human friend tries to teach her. But there is nothing like taking out your righteous rage on lower unsuspecting trolls. Especially if they have the same blood as the person who dared cross you in the first place. She doesn’t get how directing your anger that way is productive but to each their own.

Marvus is fascinated by the whole not bottling it up thing. He gets not outwardly showing anger. It’s part of his brand to be the hot and jolly clown man whose skin you can never get under. But even he has his limits. Ask his manager/moirail, Xadnam. He eventually just explodes and wrecks everything or makes others going into a killing frenzy with his chuckles. His preferred method (like with everything else) is chaos.

And the clownlets are self-explanatory. They’re kids with semi-under-control powers based on their emotions. Karako has even had an outburst in cannon. They see no point if the problem is still present when they’re done ‘shoving their face into a comfort rectangle’ as they put it.

Bahaha! the anon for the 'congratulations' and I must've both been having a Hamilton day, I've also got a hamiltony ask. Also I uh.. kinda forgot to actually tie together anything about clowns to my ask with the music industry standards a bit ago so uh...oppsie. W/ the music standards ask in mind, what would our hiveswap clownies take to watching their human's immediate family singing something to the effect of "The Story of Tonight (Reprise)" during the later parts of a wedding reception?

Awe. All of them. They know that humans don’t have powers like ceruleans. 

Marvus can barely keep a 2 person back-up singer team on par with him for very long without having to take control.

Chahut once had to train a small chorus of sacrifices for a holiday and it was agony. 

They both give props to the human race for that.

The clownlets are just in awe because the harmonies are nice sounding.
