Aww, thanks! And thank you for reminding me of the Besieged challenge too, I’ll have to dig that out and adapt it to Kulo Seeri. And do some more worldbuilding to determine who’s attacking and why... I have a few options already: - The plantsim/dryad tribes to the northeast, who I’ve already established are shrewd traders and quite territorial. - The crocomancers (crocodile-riding earth mages) of the nearby swamps, based on a character I came up with for writing years ago, who I want to introduce into my world at some point but haven’t fully developed yet. - The Elephant Sea Alliance, an assortment of city-states on the far northern coast, probably better known as the premades. - The Storm Hunt, a band of vengeful spirits led by the second headwoman Azanni, denied entrance into the ancestors’ realms for their crimes in life. - Sims from an alternate timeline that was erased from canon, with werewolves and big scary constructs.

I’ll sleep on it... it’s getting late over here and I have to be up at an absolutely ridiculous hour (read: before noon) in the morning. :)

Thank you! The terrain is basically this dirt default replacement, just edited a little bit. It’s a pretty detailed terrain by itself, but there’s also plenty of rock and scrub neighborhood deco plopped down to give it further interest. I also made a rock texture default to match the dirt of the terrain default, which obviously shows in the pic, too (and which will be included with the neighborhood download, of course). Wouldn’t look the same with the standard gray rock texture. :p I haven’t released that default separately, but I could do so if anyone’s interested.

questions : est-ce que ça ne ralentit pas le chargement du jeu ? Est-ce que les traits peuvent démentir le hobby favori ? Je ne les ai plus en tête mais par exemple un trait disant "horreur de la nature" avec un sim ayant pour hobby favori la nature.

Le seul moment où le jeu pourrait ralentir est lorsque le Trait Randomizer trie l’inventaire du Sim. Ça ne dure qu’un bref instant, mais ça peut durer plus longtemps si le Sim en question a énormément d’objets dans son inventaire. Pour l’instant, ça ne démentit pas le hobby favori. Le jeu choisit le hobby principal d’un Sim en fonction de sa personnalité, donc il est quand même rare qu’un Sim possède un trait de caractère qui vient en contradiction avec son hobby (si le randomiseur regarde la personnalité du Sim avant de lui attribuer les traits). Même avec Les Sims 3, certains traits n’ont pas trop de sens entre eux même s’il n’y a aucun conflit. Par exemple, un Sim qui est à la fois Allergique à la nature et Pêcheur ou Main verte (quoique ce Sim pourrait sûrement être heureux avec un jardin intérieur !).

It'd be great if traits were assigned according to personality/aspiration/and interests

The Trait Randomizer already does this with the exception of interests. I hesitated including interests since they can be easily changed during a Sim’s life by reading magazines and doing hobby-related activities. I’m pretty sure it’s possible to make a mod so that Sims love talking about a certain subject related to their traits regardless even with low interest points.

Cool! I’d love to see that! I’ve got a list too but it’s definitively not exhaustive and there are so many things that can be done with these traits.

Best mod! I wish it was tuned differently for teens, though. Mine always become 'marriageable' at about 13 years.

I have found that generally my teen girls don’t get their first ‘blood moon’ until they are 14 or 15. Minu was 17, but then I did start her in-game almost at the end of her teen life-stage. I will have to keep an eye out for my girls who age to teen in-game. In saying all of that though, ages 12-14 is biologically an appropriate time for girls to start mensturating, and in medieval times thy would have got married at some time around that. In-game, I don’t have any teens marry until they are at least 16, but most of my higher class girls marry between the ages of 18-24.

Seriously... So. Much. Death! I cleared the lot of all muchrooms after that, then replaced them all, just to be sure. They are potent!

How are all your sims dieing? � that’s one deadly flu

Bad luck? No, I am using the ‘Realistic Disease’ mod from MATY, as well as a ‘comfort soup’ mod, to make it less effective. Plus, I think the Sun & Moon chickens (which are cloned from the game cockroaches) spread the disease (which is kind of realistic!). The combination of the above makes it easy for the flu to spread between Sims and households and difficult to cure. I have now switched out ‘Realistic Sickness’ for the ‘Disease Mod’, so I’ll see if there is much of a difference in the next round.

There's a no-alien-pregnancy mod if you're interested in using that in the meantime. :)

Thank you, but I don’t think I will worry at the moment. These ‘hoods are a bit of a tester for the mega-hood I want to build, so I don’t mind terribly if they get messed up!

My Sims seem to have great luck when pleading with Grim... I think only two Sims have lost to him. I wonder if there is a mod to alter the odds a bit?

A modder at MTS has fixed this issue, but I don't know if it works along side Real Sickness or if RS is needed after all the fixes. It might be worth looking into: http://modthesims.info/d/617068/disease-mod.html

Thank you. I have actually downloaded that fix (after playing this household, actually), and I already had the Comfort Soup mod. I will be switching in their Disease Mod and getting rid of Realistic Disease as well.

I personally use Windows 8.1 on my gaming PC. I've been playing TS2 on that machine for about two years on and off, and haven't run into any major problems so far.

Thanks for your reply. My current (old) laptop runs Win8, but I did end up going with Win7 for the new (refurbished) machine. hopefully I made the right decision!
