Sea of Darkness - Deducing The Culprit Slightly Earlier (Spoilers!)
From the YouTube channel RoamerTummy.
Trailer vs Game (format copied over from @you-have-made-a-fatal-error). Unfortunately, I don't have LIE or SEA installed on my current computer, so this footage is from Vote4Holt's silent playthroughs. It looks like HeR had developed the full model of the ship by the time of the publication of Labryinth of Lies.

Unity vs Original HeR Game Engine - LIE
While Midnight in Salem was the first time HER had created a game with Unity, it was not the first attempt that the company had made to build an environment with that engine. (In comparison to HeR's homebrew engine). To add further context, there is a company letter that goes into their reasoning if anyone is curious. The video was posted in September 2015. Edit: For further clarification, HER had not attempted to make a game in Unity at this point; this was an experiment prior to the development of MID. Also, this is just taking note of it as part of this archival blog. (We are not affiliated with HER; this is just information that was made public that we're recording, not necessarily us approving the move to Unity).

AUGUST LETTER FROM HER INTERACTIVE
Nancy Drew fans — we hear you loud and clear. Thanks to the more than 4,000 respondents who participated in our survey earlier this year, it’s clear to us that you would love to see some changes and updates to our Nancy Drew PC/MAC franchise. Your suggestions for more expansive environments, better visuals, more compelling story lines, longer game play, more characters and more dangerous situations with player consequences got us thinking, and we agree.
