Tutorial: Converting all types of CAS CC to work with color sliders (+ how to disable it)
This enables CAS CC to work with Color Sliders for Hair, Clothes, & Accessories by thepancake1 and @mizoreyukii.
Since S4 Studio only let's you batch convert hairs and update makeup for compatibility, I present to you: TS4AlphaConverter_2_2_0_0 by CmarNYC.
Keep in mind that enabling CAS CC for color sliders will increase the file sizes of your .package files!
Sliders will also always affect all the texture, i.e. you can't exclude accessories like buttons or zippers, so some textures might not work well.

💜How to enable CC for color sliders
1. Download the required program, mod and CC you want.
This is my outfit before sliders:
2. Open up Alpha Converter
3. For enabling sliders, you can only use the folder option and not single files:
Select your input folder which contains the .packages you want to enable.
Then select your output folder where you want to save the new files.
"Include subfolders" is handy if your CC goes into more folders inside your input folder. It will reproduce the same file structure.
4. I would recommend enabling "Don't change package names" so you can just replace your input files directly, otherwise it adds "_Fixed" at the end of the filename.
I will also leave "Don't copy unchanged packages" checked.
5. Next we will select "Convert RLE2 to LRLE" to enable color sliders. I will explain the others later.
It then enables "Convert only textures linked from CASPs" which is good, e.g. it will only target actual CAS CC textures then and no Build & Buy for example.
Leave "Convert all diffuse textures linked from CASP" checked if you want to convert all types of CAS CC.
6. These are my finished settings:
7. Press "Go". It will then take a while depending on file amount and swatches, as it will have to go through textures one by one.
8. Check your finished files. The file size should be bigger, in this case it went up by 30 MB for only 5 files.
This is how the outfit looks after applying sliders to all pieces:
💜 How to disable CAS CC for color sliders
This time select "Convert LRLE to RLE2". You can leave "Convert only textures linked from CASPs".
2. Press "Go" and let it do it's thing.
3. As you can see, the file size went down again (middle), but it is not the same size as from the original file (right).
You will no longer be able to use sliders on the CAS CC piece, except transparency, which always works.
💜 Fixing slider compatible CAS CC with broken textures
If some of your CAS CC displays huge areas of missing, pixelated textures there is an issue with compression.
I don't know how and why this happens, but check out * this tutorial * on how to fix it.
hello, i'm so glad you're back! do you, by chance have, any working links for the nude tops and bottoms by creaturefearsims?
Hello my dear. Thank you so much! Im glad to be here again too :)
I have some #creaturefearsims // #eviesims posts queued but not those
Let's see.. I never downloaded those files, because I simply already had the ones created by our beloved #CmarNYC in 2012. It's actually a new improved version of these tops and bottoms created by #Snaitf back in 2009 and they are easily accessible in S*xysims (*=e)
I've easily found these files in my packages folder because they've always been there
So I can offer you my own files that work exactly the same as the ones #creaturefearsims did, just by other creators if it is useful for you
Still please if someone has and wants to share the files requested by the anonymous #creaturefearsims // #eviesims they are more than welcome here, you can easily contact me MP/ask/submit
I've been avoiding this type of posts due to censorship but the time has come, (I will publish that as a post later anyway)… so I censor myself* and here I go!
Name of the .rar : NC_TS3
Includes:
By #CmarNYC:
.rar File name: NouveauN*dists
This is an update of Snaitf's True N*dists mod, modified for Seasons. It also has Random disabled so your townies will not show up randomly n*de.
This n*de clothing will appear in CAS and the Dresser for all ages and genders, and for all clothing categories. These (like True N*dists) will use any default meshes you have installed, so p*nises and n*pples should show up fine.
Compatibility:
This is compatible with Seasons and includes Outerwear. You do NOT have to have Seasons installed. It should be compatible with base game and all Expansions/Stuff packs.
Pregnancy:
Teen and up are enabled for maternity but you need a maternity morph mod installed for any but the adult/YA females to have a pregnant shape. Be warned: if you don't have maternity clothing installed your sim may suddenly find him/herself n*de when pregnant.
Installation:
There are three packages:
cmar_TeentoElderFemale_NouveauN*dists.package : teen to elder female cmar_TeentoElderMale_NouveauN*dists.package : teen to elder male
cmar_ToddlerChild_NouveauN*dists.package : Toddlers and children
Install any or all
By #Snaitf:
.rar File Name: Snaitf_TS3_Clothing_-_N*des
Inside are two different folders compressed into this single .rar
1.Folder Name: TS3 N*de - uuU - Snaitf
This is a complete set of truly n*de clothing options for CAS. These are not just invisible clothing, but truly unclothed. So that any default meshes will be usable with them. They are available as both tops and bottoms for both males and females of ALL ages. They can be found in EVERY category, so your sims can be true n*dists.
They have been tagged as 'valid for random', so don't be surprised if you see a random townie walking around t*pless!
They have also been enabled for maternity wear, so your sims can still be naked while pregnant, male or female. (They however, do NOT show the shape of a pregnant stomache, but they don't do any clipping or disapear either.)
These do NOT, in any way, overwrite/overide any of the original files, they will appear in a new row in CAS.
Every package has a similar naming convention, so you can install them all, or pick and choose. The names are pretty straight-forward:
"TS3 N*de - [age][gender][Part type] - Snaitf.package"
Ages: p=toddler, c=child, t=teen, a=adult/young adult, e=elderly
Genders: m=male, f=female, u=universal (unisex)
Part Type = Top or Bottom
So, for the Adult Female N*de Top, it's "TS3 N*de - afTop - Snaitf.package"
2.File Name: TS3 Clothing - N*des - Snaitf
These are n*de clothes for men and women, both tops and bottoms. They appear under every category so your sim can be n*ked at any event they wish.
These do NOT replace anything in the game, they show up as new clothing in the Create-A-Sim screen.
Basically, they are invisible clothing, the game will still react as if your sim is clothed.
includes:
Female - Child to Elder - Tops and Bottoms
Male - Child to Elder - Bottoms
Each package is a separate age/gender so you can pick and choose the ones you want. The naming convention is pretty straight forward:
c-child
t-teen
a-adult and young adult
e-elderly
f-female
m-male
So, afTop would be the adult female n*de top.
I have also added to this .rar another top AF number that I find very useful by #moschino98
by #moschino98:
.rar File Name: Lena Top N*de - MB
Medium Br*asts, N*de Top for Young Adult and Adult Females
This is not a replacement, it's like a cloth, and can be used as Everyday, Formal, Sleepwear, Swimwear, Athletic and Career. Valid for maternity.
This cloth mesh may look better or worse, depending on which default skin you are using.
I can not guarantee all replacement skins will fit perfect on this mesh.
On thin muscular sim may look weird.
CmarNYC sadly passed away a few months ago, shortly after being diagnosed with cancer.
You might know Cmar from Sim Ripper, Morph maker, but also from tools such as S4PE.
It's sad that she's gone, thank you for everything you've done <3
With the December 2020 patch, CC skintones stopped appearing in the CAS skintone picker. This tool will update them and optionally will add tanned and burned textures to older skintones.
When running this tool, do NOT save the converted package over the original; that may corrupt the package and you could end up with an unusable file! Give it a new name or save it in a different location. Then remove the old package from your Mods folder and replace it with the converted one.
Pick which skintone panel you want the CC skins to appear in and this tool will convert them. It sets up the light/dark slider with standard values.
It makes fairly accurate textures for natural skin colors and makes its best guess at tan and burn colors for fantasy skins. It uses the swatch color to judge how light/dark the skin is and decide which color(s) are dominant for fantasy skins, so an accurate swatch is important.
I've uploaded only a 64-bit version which requires .NET 4 or higher. I can upload a 32-bit version but since this program has to process large uncompressed textures I ran into 'out of memory' problems using 32-bit.
Straight conversion is fast, but if you're adding tan and burn textures and there are more than a few skintones in the package it'll take a seriously long time to compress the files and save after converting. Your system may report the process as not responding but it should complete eventually.
This is really quick and dirty so keep copies of your original skintone packages and please report errors.
Unzip and run TS4SkinConverter.exe.
Windows only, sorry.
