Green on Red
Went and checked out the reported sightings of various stellar phenomena via the codex, some of which can have dangerous effects upon your starship if you get too close. The round trip also involved mapping star systems along the way, which finally pushed Keanson’s exploration rank up to ‘Pioneer’.
Decided to test out the new updated exploration tools by visiting some of Keanson’s previously discovered systems with Earth-like planets in them. Getting first discovered and now first mapped on them was pretty cool.
Keanson’s various encounters with the alien race known as the Thargoids, taken during the early half of the year.
Keanson’s Alliance Chieftain “Turner’s Requiem” manufactured by Lakon Spaceways. Named after Mic Turner, one of the founders of the Alliance.
Long time no see, Keanson. I’ve missed you.
After gathering some Unknown Fragments and a couple of the Unknown Artefacts from the crashed “Thargoid” vessel, Keanson returns to Mic Turner Research Base in the California Nebula to hand in all the exploration data gathered.
The Unknown Artefacts are considered illegal cargo, despite this Keanson was able to land without a security scan. Mic Turner was once involved in investigating the original disappearance of the Thargoids, losing his life in the process, offloading the collected cargo here seemed appropriate.
After a few more days of exploring, Keanson’s rank was raised to “Ranger” thanks to the data that had been handed in.
As Keanson disembarked in the SRV the local star dipped below the crater ridge, blanketing the area in darkness. An already eerie encounter made worse when he stumbles across the shattered remains of another SRV, and the former occupant nowhere to be seen. The only “company” around were the pulsing Unknown Artefacts strewn at the base of the crashed vessel.
