THARGOID TITAN DOWN
Commander CardioTherapy of Phoenix Flight Explorers has submitted the first personal logs of his research expedition, beginning at a Thargoid site on a moon of the second planet in HIP 14909...
The 'scavengers' actually seem to be nourishing the pods around the site, not eggs but more like a mechanism for growing parts to fix the site, which may actually be an ancient Thargoid mother ship, used in war against the Guardians.
Well, it’s finally happened. I lost my Deadly crew to one of those swanky death flowers.
RIP Aiesha Moss o7
March 29, 3304:
Unfortunately we were missing one piece to activate the thargoid device, but CMDR Proxers had the genius idea of making it throw a hissy fit by feeding it Guardian technology.

This is the scariest thing to ever happen to me in a video game. The rebuy cost of my ship is 1/3 my current credits -- and I had millions of credits worth of salvage and exploration data that were destroyed.
And I caught my reaction perfectly in a livestream.
So here, let’s watch me lose my shit and start crying in the middle of a livestream.
THE THARGOIDS ARE HERE
OMG OMG OMG
(I dropped into the signal in around 1:00)
Pleiades Sector IR-W D1-55...
The Thargoids have returned, and space, dangerous as it is, just got a lot more hostile.
I suppose I should have been smart. Stayed out of things. Tried to keep my head down while the Big Three threw big ships and bigger money at the problem, but given the number of little guys out there... independent contractors, lone explorers, bush pilots... they're all out there with the big guys, and they've got a lot less backup available.
So I did a bit of a test. Heard tell the Bugs were scooping up escape pods from destroyed ships. I thought maybe I could nick one of them. See what the bug reaction was. Well... turns out it was quite a thing. But they didn't get me.
I'd equipped the Elegant Chaos (my Clipper) for cargo and limpets. Throw out the recovery limpets and see what they catch. Grabbed me a black box, several escape pods, and some Bug technology. Unknown Artifacts they were called before. Now they're called "Thargoid Sensors". Pissed the bugs right off, but I was able to grab all of it from under their noses and boost clear before their little drone weapons got more than a few shots off at me.
So, whatever else happens, it's not a guaranteed death sentence to face off with these guys. We can survive. It's just a matter of skill, nerve, and maybe a bit of luck.
I'll be back. And even better equipped next time.
