"We went into my 'borrowed' Dallas studio with no outcome in mind - just to shoot some fun "family" photos of him with his three loves - his Mom, Janna (his fiancee) and #1 guitar. I knew he had to catch a plane, and when I told him time to stop, the shoot was over, he looked at me, smiled with that big infectious grin of his, and said something like, "Man, that was the best fun I've had in a long time!" and bowed his head to me. I had 2 film frames left on my Hasselblad, and I instinctively pushed the shutter button. Days later, he died in a helicopter crash leaving a concert." - John Berry
