What am I missing?
13-year old Logan Laplante says he's "growing up in a world where we need more hackers" in his passionate and inspirational TEDx talk. Not only has he envisioned a different, and arguably more effective, way of learning, he also has a community-focused mindset:
"Skiing is freedom, so is my education. it's about being creative, doing things differently, it's about community, helping each other. It's about being happy and healthy with my best friends."Â Â
We need more Logans in our world.Â
At the end of the day, social networks are valuable for the size and density of their network (of people) — not the volume of photos shared or messages sent. In that regard, Facebook still reigns supreme, by far. Even if they are losing teen selfies.

Although we don't typically put much focus towards Facebook outside personal use at Loyal, we thought Josh made a great argument in his article on why he's bullish on Facebook. Like community, social networks should be about the people that are there above how many photos are uploaded, etc. In other words, it's about the quality of people and the level of attention and care they give to the content on the network over how much they're sharing.
