He hadn’t the slightest clue as to what possessed him to ask Blair for a favor, and not just any favor but one that included the two of them having to sit in a car for hours on end. Sure the pair might have ended on decent terms, and a while back too. But the tension that seemed to settle whenever they were in each others presence, well that made it all seem so uneasy. He needed a ride, and well everyone else shot him down. Telling him that driving across the country with him, well it wasn’t something they had the time for. So he went to the last person he’d ask, and she said yes. That explains why he's sitting in the drivers seat, five minutes into the drive and not a word leaving from either of them. Wanting the words, ‘never mind’ or ‘turn back’ to leave from where they settled, in the back of his throat. Yet he couldn’t bring himself to say such things, and maybe part of him wanted to make things okay with the girls again. So instead he went with something a bit more composed. “Thanks, again for driving me up there, I would’ve understood if you said no.”
