a starter for @strawbxrryblxssxms [ mirae && haku ]
ambitious is a word that mirae thinks best describes her. pushing the envelope is apparently a thing now, and she’s been doing that since high school. of course, back then, she had no choice but to keep pushing that envelope. and pushing. and, well, pushing. even with the comfortable life she has now, nothing seems to be enough; she’s still looking for new projects to immerse herself with. maybe all this work obsession is her being escapist, but on the upside, she’s at least doing things she’d never have had time for if she had been stuck with a desk job.
take, for instance, this meeting with a male clothing model; probably, she’d never have even gotten close to knowing of him, let alone meeting him, if she had been stuck in her dumb little hometown with all the conservatives. being where she is now has filled up her phone’s contact list exponentially, and she’s grateful for all these connections to who-knows-where.
still, business is business.
“i’m glad you had a little time to meet me,” she leans forward, lacing her fingers together atop the table between them. there’s shitty elevator music playing in the cafe’s stereo system, and the tracks skip here and there, but otherwise, this place is... quaint. maybe. “i know you must be busy, so i hope this offer is at least worth your time and, uh, skill. i’m mirae; i own an intimate fashion line.”
intimate fashion. what an obnoxious way to say lingerie.
“recently, i’ve been thinking about expanding, not just internationally, but also in terms of variety. long story short, i want to make a male line, and i need an excellent model. you look like a very likely candidate for that position, if you’re interested.”
