I am so very excited to unveil to everyone the new CND 2014 Spring Collection. Albany Luensmann and the wonderful people over at CND sent me some samples to test drive and review so you can image how excited I am to get these. Every day is like Christmas at my house with the wonderful products I have been receiving recently to write about, which I absolutely love to do. I am one lucky lady as they sent me the entire collection of polishes plus a top coat to review for you. As soon as I saw it come out of the bottle I knew it was going to be absolutely perfect and, whoop there is it, perfect!!!
This polish is just brilliant as it went on in one coat. You could use two coats if you wish, by all means, especially the lighter the shades, as they may demand it, but it is not necessary for the darker ones. Great coverage, gets an A+ from me and it is rare when I am happy with coverage as I find many polishes to be so thin that they require coat after coat. Next, I noticed it dried very fast and with a lifestyle like mine that flexes between singing in a metal band to gardening in the yard; you can see my life demands polish that doesn’t take very long to dry!! I decided to do some simple flower nail art designs on a few of my nails, once they were dry, up next the top coat. WOW!! This is the shiniest, silkiest top coat I have ever had the pleasure of using in my life. This top coat goes on like glass and dries like vinyl (pun intended). It is such a pleasure to put on polish and NOT have to worry about it chipping away. We did our own study this week as Vicky put on the Vinylux nail polish on her perfect, short, natural nails and we monitored it very closely to see how it faire and so far after 5 days it remains perfectly flawless, IMPRESSIVE!!
It is always great to come across a product that lives up to every bit of its claim. Nail polish is as you all know one of the many wonderful tools you can use to make your own statement and with these beautifully, rich colours on your nails, they will for sure compliment your fun, spring wardrobe.
So with out further adieu, here is CND’s spring 2014 Open Road Collection:
These colours are in both the Shellac and Vinylux finishes and are in order, Powder my Nose, Sun Bleached, Desert Poppy, Clay Canyon, Mint Convertible, and Sage Scarf, all pictured above. According to their fabulous website CND Shellac manicures and pedicures provide mirror shine and 14-day flawless wear. They can also be used with the CND additives to create even more fabulous nail art/ polish designs. You can make your own custom colours layering these additives over the Shellac polish. Where the Vinylux line, which is the one I have to review, is more of a breakthrough line that provides a 7 day polish that resists chips and is long lasting with a vinyl like finish when dry. (Pun intended). Now, I can speak from personal experience as I just applied this outstanding polish on my three inch nails and am totally impressed and sold on this fabulous polish. I do intend to keep the Vinylux line among those polishes that are in my own nail arsenal and are added to one of the Polish Caboodles. (I have 3) I absolutely LOVE this polish of which I chose to use Desert Poppy and Sage Scarf as the base colours of my nails. I also used the Sage Scarf, Mint Convertible, Sun Bleached colours to enhance the designs with my dotting tool and made some cute flowers. Quick, easy and elegant. Sometimes the best designs are the simplest.
