ending 2019 with Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2020! wishing you all the most wonderful things for the new year.
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that the new year and decade bring nothing but good things to us all 💚
erm, hello there! I took an extremely long and unintentional hiatus, but I’m kinda back (and with a new nail shape). hope to see more of all of you in the new year :]
Flipped my pose so the drips go the right way. I’m trying to squeeze as many designs as I can before Halloween and spooky nail art come to an end for the year. This is my take on the super cute and girly Japanese style of Halloween nails, hope you like it!
I’m a little iffy about posting these because they’re not nearly as clean as I would like, but this intricate spider web design was a fun challenge! Design is by @nailsbyharlig on instagram :]
Whoops, I literally fell off the nail art earth! Thank you to everyone who has continued to like and reblog despite my lack of posts!! I truly appreciate every single one of you, and I hope to still give you posts to come back to :] I’ve eased my way back in with the easiest Halloween splatter ever and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Yaaay two posts in two weeks! I’m so proud hahah.
In lieu of July 4th nails, I bring you this super quick and easy set was inspired by this top at target. It’s a beginner-friendly design because the lines don’t have to be super straight or fully opaque, and you can have one accent nail or have the whole mani be alternating colors and stripes.
Oops! Sorry for all the non-related posted that have been popping up on here. Sometimes I forget to switch back to my main blog and then I queue a bunch of things.
Anyways! I went to the Museum of Ice Cream last week, and of course was inspired to do an ice cream set! I’ll admit that this isn’t my cleanest, but I happily wore this all week long. If you want to see the rooms that inspired each nail, check out my instagram @jodarling_nails!
Ahem...hello there! It’s been a very long time since I last posted! I started a new job last month, and have just started to get comfortable enough with my new schedule to paint my nails! This set is a design that @ninanailedit created for CND and I loved it so much that I went out and bought all the polishes she used for it hahah. I hope to get back into the swing of a new mani every week, but we’ll see how that goes! For now, it’s just really, really good to be back.
ALSO! If you’re on instagram, please follow me @jodarling_nails! I’ve been back posting for a bit, so you’ll see manis there that I’ve already posted here, but it will eventually come up to speed :]
Happy St Patrick’s Day everyone! I decided to do something festive yet subtle, and this design inspired by @thebusynails on instagram was just right. How are you showing your green today?
My shape is a little wonky these days, but I’m so happy because I no longer have any rips or patches on any of my nails!!! It’s a personal victory for me. Anyways, I’ve been dreaming of spring despite the mini heatwave that Southern California is going through right now. This super easy dotted floral is from a tutorial by @mrcandiipants from years ago.
I’m still alive!! My rips have nearly grown out, so some nail art was in order. I’ll be at Disneyland this weekend and I wanted to have a set that would work even after we leave. Thus these Beauty and the Beast inspired nails were born! Can you spot my super subtle hidden Mickey? I used a tutorial by Chelsea King from forever ago to do the roses (I think she calls them Doc Marten inspired?) and I love this set so much.
It’s my 5 year nail art anniversary!!! I honestly was going to give my nails a break and give them “The Chop”, until I realized that January 14, 2017 marks 5 years of seriously doing nail art. I’ve come so far, but I know I still have a lot of room for improvement. Thank you to YOU, for liking and reblogging my nails. It give me the motivation to continue creating. I figured an anniversary nail should combine all the things I love (white base, stone marble, green) and I love these!
But seriously, this is probably my last post for awhile hahah. My poor thumb nail is patched up and barely hanging by a thread, so I need to cut my nails down and let them grow out again. See you in February!
Happy New Year everyone! 2016 was a year I’m incredibly happy to leave behind. I can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store!
Thank you to everyone who showed my last post so much love! I truly appreciate every like and reblog. These are (probably) my last set of Christmas nails for this year. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all!!
Flipping my pose 180 so you can see what I see when I look down at my nails! I gotta admit, this image feels odd to me. I used CG Party Hearty to make skinny Christmas trees, but it probably would’ve looked better if I had just sponged directly onto my nails. Oh well, onto the next!
Happy December 1st everyone! This is my absolute favorite time of the year despite all the craziness that the holidays bring. As always, I’m starting off simple, and I hope to ramp up the designs as December rolls along.
