Chinese New Year 2016

I am posting a little late but it is Chinese New Year! Time to get me some ah baos! YAY! Apart from that,I was able to spend some time with my family which is great.I don’t get to meet up with my relatives very often so I do enjoy CNY where I am able to catch up with some of them.Although since my family is small,we usually just celebrate the first two days of CNY.Most people in Singapore starts working on the third day anyways. Day 1: As always,I went to my father’s side on the first day.I was expecting it to be boring because a couple of my relatives couldn’t be there this year but turns out I was wrong.I actually had fun! I talked with my relatives and then we ended up playing Blackjack together.I did not actually bring any money with me but seeing how I wanted to play,my godfather used his money (my mother also forked out some money) and we played together as a pair.We won the most! I never saw him play before whether it’s mahjong or cards so he always looked rather bored during CNY but he looked so happy today.I was happy he enjoyed himself and we bonded even more.It was great! Not to mention,the food was great too! Day 2: Today I went to my mother’s side.It wasn’t as fun as the first day but it was still great.My eldest uncle wasn’t planning on cooking today but he did it for me and my sister because we wanted to eat his cooking.It was delicious as always! I managed to talk a little with my relatives and we sang many songs.It was pretty fun.Since the family is small,it may not be as lively or fun as compared to my father’s side but I still really enjoyed it.My family ended up staying for a couple of hours which we weren’t planning on.Had a great dinner with my parents too. Day 3: My family and I didn’t have anymore relatives to visit as our family is small so we didn’t do much today.We ended up playing mahjong from late afternoon to about 9.30pm.We only stopped because my sister’s boyfriend had work so we couldn’t play another round.It was fun though even if I did lose more then I won. Day 4: It was very similar to Day 3 except my sister had work today.She just started and only came back at around 7pm.We played mahjong at night.Started at about 8+pm or so and ended at around 12.30am.It was rather enjoyable.Again I lost but it was still fun so it doesn’t really matter.We might play again tomorrow too.We only get to play cards and mahjong aka gamble during CNY so why not right? Day 5: My sister and her boyfriend went out during the morning and came back in the evening.Played mahjong again once they came back.We played two rounds.The first round I didn’t really win or lose but I lost so bad in the second round.It was still fun though.We wouldn’t be playing anymore since we are all going to be busy and I have to pack soon but it was so much fun for this 5 days.I enjoyed it a lot. Day 6: I thought we weren’t going to play again.I was wrong.We ended up playing again.I lost once more.Just isn’t my luck.It was still fun though.Being able to spend time with my family while playing a game.We only play during CNY too. Day 7: Went out and had dinner at Mcdonalds.Played mahjong at night.It was fun.I won tonight! Finally! I didn’t win much since we weren’t playing big or anything but still I won! We played the longest this year.Today is the last day we are playing.I won’t be here for CNY next year so I won’t be able to play so it was fun.I keep repeating the same words but it is fun! I will be heading to Korea soon and I won’t be here for next year’s CNY because I would be in Korea as my classes hasn’t ended yet.I would not see my family for awhile and I would miss the fun next year so it made it all the more fun this year!
