In my self-esteem group I had placed something, whay i wrote. It was too good not to share it with you. The theme of the course was therefore:
The inner child. The child in you ... me. Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate ... not good enough. Our deepest fear is that we are powerless and willingless. Mostly, it is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves: who am I to be brilliant, brilliant, talented and fantastic? Who shouldn't you or should you be? Know that you too are a child of God. Your little steps don't serve the world ... that's why you have to make them bigger. There is nothing enlightening about making yourself smaller so that other people don't feel safe or happy around you. It is meant for all of us to be allowed to shine, as children do, open and spontaneous. We were born to spread the spark of light that is inside. That's not just in some of us, only for a select few; it is in and for everyone. If we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same, your light ignites the other. When we are freed from our own fear (ow yes, we fear a lot everyday) our presence automatically frees others from their fears and can also shine their light. And so we let our inner child shine.
Love your kid what is you.
