Coal Stocks Remain Tight in Thermal power India
CEA's daily coal stock report shows Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project reporting zero coal stock on 25 July against a normative requirement of 661.6 thousand tonnes, while continuing to operate at approximately 86% plant load factor. Across the country, 27 thermal power stations remained in the critical category as overall coal stocks declined to 39,303.1 thousand tonnes, although higher coal receipts reduced the pace of inventory drawdown. Andhra Pradesh continued to record some of the lowest stock positions among monitored states.
The data indicates that coal supply conditions are improving gradually, but inventory levels remain under pressure at several generating stations.
