Concept: What if Natsu isn’t ready to fight them and he tries over and over to take them down, but he’s just not ready and just continually gets himself hurt. And eventually, Cobra becomes protective of him because he keeps getting hurt and the people who are supposed to be taking care of him, seemingly don’t care because he keeps coming back. Now this might just be Natsu being stubborn and prideful, but as Cobra look down on the beaten up dragon slayer who’s far too innocent to be dealing with this kind of thing, Cobra feel a surge of protectiveness.
