Any Excuse to Visit Coconino National Forest! by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: While waking the Cockscomb Trail in Coconino National Forest with a view looking to the east with the nearby evergreens and then to the more distant Capitol Butte, Soldier Heights and other peaks. This was a wider angle view, so I felt it important to keep a more leveled-on view and avoid flattening any of the more distant peaks. The blue skies above would be that color contrast to complement the earth-tones in the lower portion of the image.
