Damn S&S08 anon stop trying to be edgy and let us treasure the 1995 film, one of the greatest adaptations ever made, and which especially makes me think of my mother. It was the first time I ever saw her cry!! As I grew up we've watched it (and sobbed) together. We've visited the Flete Estate in Devon where a lot of it is filmed as a family several times and stayed nearby. That film is literally so important to me and I'm sure to so many others, and your dogmatic takes are exhausting.
The wildly vacillating hot takes gave me a headache, honestly. It’s anti-feminist because Mrs. Palmer is a sex-object but also it’s anti-feminist because she’s portrayed as undesirable and okay Andrew Davies did write gross bits but everyone can just skip those parts meanwhile Emma Thompson just wants us to forgive Willoughby and aged up Eliza [footage not found] and when Ang Lee does isolation in the frame it’s boring but when there are several lingering shots of the cottage exterior it’s genius and tHe StRaWbErRiEs mean...something.
I genuinely cannot remember where or when the strawberries show up or who has them and why.
I’m not saying anybody’s gotta hate one or love the other, but damn, work on the reasoning if you’re going to try to convince people.
I actually liked Hattie Morahan and the fact that the ‘08 actually included Lady Middleton, but anon is really testing me.
