Got around to visit Cocohodo in the Broadway/Flushing area of Queens the other day. I’d pass this place a few times on the way to doctor's appointment, but finally had the time to stop by. Cocohodo is probably best known for its hodogwaja or Korean walnut-style cakes with red bean paste filling, though I already opted to try one of their patbingsu or Korean-style shaved ice desserts. I got the Oreo-flavored patbingsu and a green tea iced latte. Both were pretty scrumptious and I’d be down to try one of their mochi waffles the next time I’m in the area. It’s pretty quiet during the day and it seems like this cafe seems more busy towards the evening time with a mixed range crowd, though it seemed popular with the churchgoing Korean ahjumma crowd LOL.
