It’s important to show appreciation for all things both big and small. As part of the giving season for the month of November I wanted to extend some shoutouts to 30 fanfictions that I’ve read and loved ♥
I would like to thank them for the joy they’ve brought me, the laughs, the tears, the curses, the stomach curdles, the winces, the flinches, the “yessss,” the squeaks, the squeals, the arm flailing and of course the time, effort and love they have given these stories and for sharing them with us all.

A Cry in the Dark by @noisypaintersong (Cocopops1995)
Summary: When the Coalition got called in to help evacuate a planet, the last thing Hunk expected was to find Keith tied up in a small box and in very bad shape.
My notes: We continue along my more than expected theme of Keith whump. But not only is there Keith whump here, there is the even (more rare than Hunk whump I think) relationship of Keith and Hunk. I really, really wish we had more of these two, both in canon and fanon, as I imagine they would get along rather well once they give each other a chance.
I also apparently have more love of people buried and/or locked into small places than I thought before entering this fandom. You guys have ruined me. But ahem. Hunk finds Keith locked and left essentially for dead after being tortured and the entire premise of this fic and the world building (the world building omg ♥♥♥) is phenomenal.
Hunk is soooo good in this and I love his rage at what was done to Keith while he tempers it down to best care for him. Hunk is such a cinnamon roll but if you piss him off he is a momma bear and you better watch the fuck out. Plus angry protective Shiro at the end with Blades; always love that.
