Code Post - Picking the right road
So as many as you know, technology has a lot of roads that lead to different opportunities and different learning curves. You need to decide who you are going to be early on or you are going to try to do as much as you can and most of the things you do will end up feeling half assed. And I don’t mean the people around you, you yourself are going to feel this way because you will want to be great for everything always. That will make anyone go insane. That is where direction is good. If you like data, go back end, if you like design, do front end, if you can successfully do both right off the bat, do that. If you are forced into a role like that, just go with the flow, even if you don’t know everything. It usually is around one language. So I would like to specify something, I mean languages, I didn’t mean job titles. I should have said: Ruby Application versus Node. I also not telling you to give up once you have mastered a platform. I would say a couple years down the road, pick up the dusty languages that you shelved to be good at your current job and play around with them. And sometimes you move jobs and need to learn a whole new language, and thats okay too. As long as you don’t loose the master of the first one.
Simplify going forward but don’t forget the past.

19 Hours And Counting - Code Post
I broke my record last week during a crunch time at work. I broke my pervious record of 13 hours of coding, to replace it with 19 hours. Which is pretty big for me, and I am very excited for what is next.
Over the next week I will be working on a little bit more for my application as well as learning a couple new things for work. I have been using Algolia search but the system is a bit more complex in our application. It is a great search ability and I just want to make sure I am using it at the fullest.
In other programming news, I have been looking into Bootstrap 4 and it looks to be a pretty good addition to the already abundance of features Bootstrap 3 gives. I have made it my goal to completely design a website without overriding any bootstrap classes or css. I am going to see if I am able to create something decent with what is given.
Happy Coding in 2016
