It’s 2025! I’ve become obsessed with something other than Dracula and D&D! I’m going back to my roots with superhero OCs!

Meet Gavin Godfrey, codename: Hermes, a speedster who works for a small courier business in [City Name Pending]. I wanted to focus on something a little bit different than a typical superhero story, and I have a soft spot for characters with super speed and other mobility based powers. Thus, Gavin and the couriers were born and I love them very much!

Digging into the world-building for this potential project even led to me unearthing and revamping some VERY OLD middle school OCs (who I hope to post about soon). I’m having a good time, and I haven’t been this excited for an original story in a while.

I’m hoping to start posting more in general in the New Year, so expect to see more of this guy and his friends soon!

The final member of the Whistle-Stop Couriers, meet Natsuo Watanabe, codename: Dispatch! His telepathic ability keeps the team in constant communication, no matter where they are in the city. He is also the resident artist and craftsman, doing their graphic design work and making any necessary clothing repairs if the couriers come back from the field worse for wear.

Natsuo is Narumi’s twin brother, and he was born deaf. He primarily communicates using American sign language, especially since overuse of his telepathy can be extremely physically taxing.

Natsuo has probably undergone the most changes of any of my old OCs, especially pertaining to his role in the story. He used to be very much a side character (the main trio were Simon, Karina, and Narumi) and didn’t get to do much of anything until the final act. He’s going to be much more involved throughout now, and I’m very excited to see how he and the others continue to evolve!
