I made a bunch of updated references for Art Fight and realized I never posted them here!

(This includes finally drawing the actual superheroes in this superhero setting lol. They’ve existed in my mind basically since the beginning but since they aren’t the main focus they hadn’t gotten any finished art yet. They’re gonna get their own post soon to finally introduce them. :3)

The final member of the Whistle-Stop Couriers, meet Natsuo Watanabe, codename: Dispatch! His telepathic ability keeps the team in constant communication, no matter where they are in the city. He is also the resident artist and craftsman, doing their graphic design work and making any necessary clothing repairs if the couriers come back from the field worse for wear.

Natsuo is Narumi’s twin brother, and he was born deaf. He primarily communicates using American sign language, especially since overuse of his telepathy can be extremely physically taxing.

Natsuo has probably undergone the most changes of any of my old OCs, especially pertaining to his role in the story. He used to be very much a side character (the main trio were Simon, Karina, and Narumi) and didn’t get to do much of anything until the final act. He’s going to be much more involved throughout now, and I’m very excited to see how he and the others continue to evolve!
