Fuego is the Son of Quezal and Chantilly, having been conceived as a last ditch effort to save the Ritual after the original Grimmchild charm broke due to the weak magic it was created with.

However he does not end up becoming the next Troupe Master due to his mother deciding to go back on her part of the deal to keep her son.

So now he runs around as the happiest and brattiest lil guy ever (until he gets face to face with a Cordyceps that exclusively hunts wyrms…)

Couple of old friends catching up

Zenai-yel the Scorpion and Ruhna the Dune Stag from my story Codex Xihuitl!

Dune Stags are a subspecies of Stag Beetle that are built more for endurance and adaptability in the harsh desert of the Sarjo, with coarse fur to help protect their shell from dust and sand.

The little white comma symbols are actually representing “breath” or speech! Most commonly used in Mexica art such as this one below
