hiya, it’s admin c omg i’m so excited and this is my baby, jung jihoon, who i’ll be introducing under the cut!! he’s kinda based on some of my favourite characters and if you can guess which, i’ll love you forever. also, if you wanna plot like this or hmu?? les go!
to start of jihoon’s father is a pretty important politician in seoul and as far as jihoon can remember has always been that. they therefore have a lot of money in their bank accounts. because of his dad being important and the way he used to spoil jihoon, jihoon has created this sense where he thinks he is important, above most, should automatically get respect and admiration, if you catch my drift. it’s a bit conflicting with his feeling of never really living up to the expectations people have of him (mostly his dad, who is very strict on him) and the fact that he has trouble doing most things on his own.
jihoon’s mother on the other hand is just a sweetheart and jihoon definitely has a good bond with her. she used to work a pretty decent job until she fell ill and is currently bed-bound save for the few walks she makes (with assistence). because jihoon cares a lot about her he does all he can to help her and (partly) took this job for that reason.
to get into the full reason why jihoon is currently working a job instead of living the life with all that money i spoke of earlier... jihoon’s a pretty smart guy, always had good grades, but never quite enough to live up to his dad’s standards. when he got denied from the university his dad had originally planned for him to go to shit went down and his dad cut a pretty large part of jihoon’s allowance, forcing him to either cut his expensive habits or get a job. it became the latter. an addition reason he chose for this was the mental idea of being able to help his mother with the money (altho he realistically knew it would never be quite enough).
now, you won’t ever hear him say this, but jihoon doesn’t mind working at barnes&noble that much as he really does love books. he’ll be sure to tell you at one point tho that he feels he’s too good for the place and shouldn’t be wasting his time there.
this boy will do anything for his family just so you know. even for his dad. and he has in the past. in ways that arent always that admireable, but alas.
