A pleased Spencer is a very wiggly, bouncy, chatty Spencer with an extremely fluffy head! When he's happy and excited about something he puffs up his head feathers and runs around in circles and does what sounds like his version of budgie fwibbling and it's super cute. It's hard to get good videos of him because he always wants to chew on my phone, but I will try one of these days!
Dear Niko and Tetra: how are you both so cute?
First, you have to make sure you always look your best, so preen a lot!
You also need to make sure to get plenty of beauty sleep!
And lastly, you have to eat a good balanced diet with chop and preferably lots of millet! Messy faces are absolutely necessary to this.

I knooooooooow I remember bringing her home! It seems like it was just yesterday!

Thank you! She has been a constant source of joy and comfort for the whole nine years! <3
@coffeepuppiesmaybe wrote: "Did she get any special treat? Or extra special snuggle time? (Unless Spencer gets Extra Jealous or something)"
It's hard to give her EXTRA snuggles because she already gets all the snuggles she wants! She did get snuggles, though! She also got some cooked brown rice (which she LOVES) and some apple, and she got to try to stick her head up my nostril (which she also loves for some reason)
Pascal is TOTALLY a cad, but the other thing is that Pippa is ALSO obsessed with Harriet! When they were first introduced, Pippa tried to boss Harriet around, but Harriet just kind of looked at her like, "That's cute, kid" and I think once Pippa realized she couldn't push Harriet around she was like "HARRIET IS SO COOL" and now follows Harriet everywhere.
I don't know what it is with doors, but yes, historically Horatio also had a lot of trouble with doors, and Beatrix sometimes seems to have trouble with them too, although in all fairness it may be less that she can't figure out the door and more that there are too many budgies on top of her cage so she needs me to get her out so they don't swarm her :D
Dear budgies: how are budgies? Are you budgie-ing around like good budgies? Are Pascal and Pippa budgie budgies? (Maximus says “budgie” A LOT; I’m listening to him practice as I pose this question)
Awwww I bet mine would also say "budgie" a lot if they talked :D That's so cute! The budgies are indeed budgie-ing around like good budgies (with the possible exception of Pascal, who keeps ending up in the kitchen for some reason? And then I have to go get him because he can't figure out how to get back to the living room) Pascal and Pippa have been given the Harriet and Nelson Seal of Approval, so they are budgie budgies!
First of all, thank you for sharing your flock! They brighten up my day when I’m usually at work and away from mine own budgie. (Not now, clearly since the whole shelter-in-place ting). Anyway, you might have answered this before, but what model of Vision cage do you have for your budgies? Is it an M01 or an L01? (It might even be 02, but I think those are taller...?) Thank you!
Hi! Sorry for the delay in answering -_- It’s an L02, the biggest of the Vision cages, so there’s plenty of room for them to annoy each other in it :D

Are all conures as cuddle-demanding as Spencer? Like, I know each birb is an individual and such, but I’ve had budgies all my life and for the most part, I know that once they get used to hands or unafraid of them, I can usually help them with their head scratches. Do conures have a tendency to be cuddle bugs?
From what I’ve seen, green cheek conures do tend to be very cuddly (when they’re in the right mood)! In my experience, budgies, as amazing as they are, are quite a bit more independent and prefer to hang out NEAR you, but not necessarily snuggle. Green cheek conures can be pretty squirrelly and hyper, but when they’re in a snuggly mood they’re VERY snuggly. Spencer and I have a regular snuggle appointment every evening, and he gets mad if I’m running late for it. :D
