man idk it makes me really suspicious when i see posts about trans people who have done shitty things that seem really focused on highlighting the trans-ness of the individual in question (particularly if they're a trans woman. lol) and claiming that them being 'a popular trans creator' gives them social capital and immunity from punishment.
being a trans woman online mostly just gets you fucking death threats and any 'protection from criticism' a popular person gets is just the consequence of being an internet personality, the same as any milquetoast white male video game streamer gets when they get called out for sexual harassment. trans people are not protected by their minority status, even if bad actors will sometimes use said status to abuse trust within a community, because being a minority does not give you privilege. claiming otherwise is irresponsible, and throws vulnerable people under the bus.
as a general rule, if you share the same sentiments as a washed-out conservative comedian complaining about not being able to criticize the gays without getting canceled, you need to re-examine how you express yourself.
