What your aids are for does not have to be what you use them for, or only what you use them for!
If you got something "for when you're at work" or "for when you go to the park", you can use them other times, too. If you have something for when you really need it, you can use it for when you want it. If you have a disabled parking pass, you don't need to use it only when you would physically have trouble walking to and from the car; I use mine when I know that the store will be Too Overwhelming and being able to see my car and have it close to the exit when I am done will make me able to get to a safe zone faster, where I have a clear personal bubble (my car). It could also be for getting home or for shortening the number of steps involved in shopping or going on an adventure.
If you're having a good walking day but it will be too much to figure out where and how to stand, use your wheelchair! If you have a speaking board or picture board when you can't speak at all, use it when you can speak a little bit anyway!
There are good ways to push yourself, but you don't need to push yourself all the time; and there are no rules that say the aid you got for one activity can't be used for another.
